As our privacy is important, identity documents are of the most important information of your privacy.

When you earn online, you are almost 100 % will face the situation that you will be asked to provide identity verification documents to them to receive payout there. Then we have to be calm and think the following things first :

The reliability and trust of that site (deeply check from forums, reviews, social media etc)?
The history of the site (old site ?)
Your earning amount is worth the case?
The popularity of the site (international with many long term users)?

If all these conditions passed, you can be confidence to give your identity verification documents to the sites, otherwise there should be some risk and I think I will rather not continue there.

This is a very important warning for everyone especially for
those that are
just starting to do work/earning online. As much as possible
avoid sharing documents from sites either it involves money or not. I have seen many people on social media too who share their ID to prove that they are legit seller/dealer without even thinking that it can be bad for them.

I don't give my real identity to even facebook or twitter; but in case of business, there is no reason to create fake account. For example, we have to give real details to Paypal. Even in some sites like Amazon, if details are required, then it can be done for varification purpose, so that our earning and products must come to us.

You are right, and for the payment processors we use are known to be legit, so it is safe to give the right information in other to help the verification process. Also, it is safe to give real details companies amazon, ebay etc

The site that ask me for such verification. I avoid them as much as possible. there seems to be no benefit from it. and there is very little earning and big compliance. what seems to be the use of that. so I rty to ignore this type of stuff as much as I can. because it is not much going to earn in real life. and it in turn going to be really bad on the security side. so never share your personal information witih anyone. thata's not going to be good for you in any ways.

Same. Recently I got asked from a website/service that pays its users to provide a photo of ourselves and basically prove some stuff there and I didn't trust it. It was like if you want to make money here you need to provide your photo.. and some info. I decided to not give it a try.

You are right about it.It is better to avoid every possible way such sites, that are requiring extra information. There are so many other sites out there, who don't ask any verification, better join this sites.I think, that it is more secure this way.

The only site I've ever gave some, "sensitive" information was to PayPal, I don't trust in any other site that ask for that kind of information, and each day are more and more of this sites out there.

Hello thiers a Lot like that when you join online jobs you Required too Passed some of your private information even if you signed up or register in a Real job you cannot escaped with that if you Dont want to passed and leak your privacy ! maybe Stay out online Dont use social medias and work online!

But still uploading personal documents and deep details is always risky. Recently I came across a site which was demanding debit card and credit card details. I simply moved away from the site. I cannot risk my safety for some dollars.

So far I have not provided any of my personal information online. But however, at times we may have to do it for business purposes. Then it is our responsibility to get as much information as possible about the other person. People can steal your info and try to impersonate you.

I think most of the blockchain trading companies are asking for identity. and that can be really sad state of the affairs. I wonder how that is going to be working for many. I hope in future things change and people get adjusted with the document verification.

you are absolutely right, i will not give my identity to any earning site at any cost, on the internet if i ever gave my identity to any site then it is payoneer :p, because it is famous payment account and it is necessary thanks for this post so many new comers will learn.

Picoworkers.com ask scan of your real document before first payout. That's way I give up from that site. If I have verified PayPal account, I don't send anymore my real information to any site.

If the site is an old one and has high reputation, I don't mind giving my personal details if that's really necessary and it makes sense to me why I am requested to give these details. but if we're talking about a less known site or there's no reason for which they want these documents, I prefer to stay away at all costs.

Once a site goes beyond asking for names, location and email address, such should be care with in dealing with them cos no one is to be trusted in this present day of life, identity are not easy give out

I've just give my documents to the online currency like Payoneer, payza and some other trusted payment sytem I think this is illegal to use without documents, but for other sites it is very dangerous and risky us to submit our documents because if they used our documents in wrong way so it would not be good for us.

it is not actually illegal because nobody will take you to jail if you don't bring those documents, but it is prohibited to use those payment processors without being 18 years old and being able to prove it at any time.

and as an addition to my last post, I remember having given my documents to 2-3 reputable betting sites, but it was normal as they have strict rules that you must be at least 18 to bet

I remember when I was asked by facebook to import a photo of my ID card to verify my account. I had my doubts, but facebook is already worldwide known as a legit site so I wasn't afraid to do so. Careful, if you think the site is not legit, just leave and don't sent documents.

In philippines. There is an app which is bitcoin wallet at the same time you can use it for paying bills and other stuff. You been asked to provide complete and real information. And at the same time they will ask for identity verification which you will send your id together with selfie. Is it legit? Is it a normal practice or protocol?

I don't know this app, but have you tried to find some proof this site is legit, have you asked anyone? I wouldn't be so sure, but with a proof that everything is all right, why not?
