As per Coindesk, the malware name is Anubis and it has been sold in the darknet marketplace since June. Its source code was forked from another malware by the name of "Loki." Microsoft Security Intelligence reported limited attacks by using the malware in recent months. The malware is usually spread with unsolicited emails and attachment with ".iso" extension. If you see one in your inbox immediately delete it since the malware is able to steal your sensitive information, including crypto wallet ids and more.

.iso and .rar file extensions are usually compressed files, People should really be careful when visiting and downloading files from sketchy sites or links

Apart from being careful of the sites visited, avoid downloading or allowing apps access to your device. Any unrecognized mail should be deleted without opening all to keep safe.

This is really bad we really have to be more careful that's why its always good to always check your email incase of things like this and unrelevant spam messages

These are great ways of keeping malwsres away. For me I hardly open mails that are suspicious to be malicious so avoid any kind of attack

Exactly! I said that to someone recently and he ignorantly told me that I was just been too cautious. For me, it is 'better safe than sorry'.

There's nothing cautious about being protective of your wallet against everything negative like hacking and malware. I do same for all my accounts online
