I have been thinking about betting, so that I could win a prize without having to pay taxes on it. I live in Norway, and have that tax code. I have also participated in lottery (definitely only with money I could afford to loose.)

I am just wondering if this is a good idea?

what?

Betting to pay tax?, It's not advisable to bet not to say depending on bet to pay tax. You should look for other means but gambling is a no no, the house Always win
I don't think that what he meant was to get funds for tax through betting. I understand his question only partially but I know that is not what he asked.

Is it that you want to bypass tax by betting on a site apsrt from the site you are using , or you want a betting site without tax charges since i haven't seen that before

I want to win a prize I don't have to pay taxes for. I believe with such a prize, it would be eligible not to pay tax on the actual reward.

In one way or another you will pay tax,if the money will be like a couple of thousands or to millions then it will be considered a business and it will be taxed to a certain percentage.Good luck mate and am rooting for you

It depends on the prize i guess. If it's just a couple's hundred or thousand i guess you can.. im not sure about hundred thousand or millions though.

well in that case you can bmf raffles , and online lottery competition for them a ticket can go upto 50$ but the prizes go upto millions as well

Betting to save on taxes can be a good thing if you could make up that much amount as it will ease your stress at month ends and you can remain carefree of atleast one thing!

well I'm not too keen on the idea of gambling, but help is help i gues... so what i wanted to say is hoe are taxes on crypto currencies there? because you could use crypto gambling sites if you don't have to pay taxes on them.

May I know what counrty that is? I couldn't find it out by taking a look at your profile.
I'm in Malaysia, a friend of mine got called by the banks and his account were locked because they wanted to investigate all those transactions going on daily

Hmm, I'm totally confused about your option to save yourself on paying taxes through betting. If that's the only way you can save yourself money, not to pay for taxes then you should try out your luck. Who knows, you might win your luck there, but always bet wisely.

Could you provide more clarity on this? Are you hoping to save on betting site or betting to earn or to save tax? Either ways you should be careful not to use high investment to stake your bet so it does not become painful if the stake is lost.
Yeah because when someone is placing bets to just save little tax , i think the person could lose more money at that moment of doing so

I just giggle as I read this post are you sure you would not lose more than you would have paid your taxes from this betting. I would prefer you get your job and pay taxes. You might not only lose money here even your peace of mind as well

Here in my country earning from lottery and betting are not tax free, we have not pay tax on it. If some one won lottery than winner gets money net after tax. Here betting is not legal.

Yeah this is true tho because betting is very risky and if the person is not careful , he or she would make more loss from betting i think
