Which are the best ways to rank brand new sites these days?

Content is the king. Therefore, your website should feature many quality contents.
The contents on your website should be optimized for search engines and social media.
Site design should be attractive and easy to navigate. Search engines as well as ad programs give much preference to site design
Submit your site to search engine index.
Send lots of traffic to your site (void PTC and Traffic Exchange)

Though nobody can ensure a definite time frame to bring a brand new website to the top position in Google ranking, there are some effective ways by which one can improve the Google ranking, which are summarized below.

1. Search Engine Optimization (SEO): If you can learn the fundamentals of SEO and it various tips and tricks, you can make the things move faster.
2. Use the right key words: Do proper keyword research and select right keywords in your niche, which have large number of monthly searches.
3. Select a Good Domain Name: It is advised to have the main keyword at the beginning of domain name, instead of middle or end, which will give better result.
4. Use Long tail keywords: Use long tail keywords in the articles which have greater chance to rank well in Google search.
5. Concentrate on the Main Niche: Instead of writing about different topics, it is a good idea to focus on the main niche and present quality contents, both interesting and informative.
6. Generate quality back links: Focus on creating high quality back links from authority sites instead of making large number of low quality back links.

Well for every new site we should consider buying quality backlinks and also work on social media promotion part. Final thing would be producing quality content and a basic optimization.

Doing Seo for brand new site is dangerous as it may get banned if Google caught the system. They always check the domain age and you need to buy an aged domain for better ranking.

5. Submit to web 2.0 sites as this will boost up in serp's.

6. Promote them on social media site's with more engagements, so it shouldn't look like fake one.

7. Analyze with competitors websites. So it can be easily rank in Serp.

I think every business nowadays needs an online website to become successful, and this is true in the case of an offline business too. The main challenge in building up a new site is to enhance its visibility so that it receives more traffic. For this it is very important to understand the ways to improve SEO ranking. But the big question is how to go about it?

To become successful in SEO you should learn what a search engine like Google looks for in a new website. The most important is relevancy that means a customer who visits the site should get relevant information he is looking for. Content quality and relevance to topic are two integral parts of a successful site ranking. It should also include authoritative information, otherwise it will spoil the entire show. The overall performance and design of the site are also important factors. By ensuring a proper upkeep of the following points can go a long way in ranking your site well:

  • Content is the king – I think everybody will agree on the fact that content is the king in any online business. Lack of useful information will not attract visitors to a site. As I already mentioned earlier, relevancy is also important here. A fresh and tempting content has greater chance of converting visitors into customers.
  • You should also look after the overall structure of the presentation of the whole idea. A poorly formatted content will kill the interests of the visitor.
  • Title says it all – Your page's title should be a proper guide to your content. That means by going through the title itself the visitor should get an overall idea of what the site is all about. Give emphasize to include key words in the title, its uniqueness and crispness.
  • Images should have alt tag – As you know search engines cannot understand images as texts, you need to include relevant alt tags for each image you use in a website. By doing this you will be well seen in an image search results.
  • Domain is very important – Try to get the best possible domain name for your business as it is the face of your online endeavor. It is better to use simple name which can eliminate any chance of a misspelling. An attractive domain name will definitely bring more visitors to your website.
  • Role of domain extension – Try to get Generic Top Level Domains to boost up your SEO ranking. Domain extensions like .com, .net, .org etc are more appealing than country/region specific domain extensions. By using region specific domain you will be mainly featured in the local Google search engine only which could drastically reduce your coverage.
  • Go for the right keywords – One of the important factors is the use of appropriate keywords in your site. Try to do a keyword research to find out which words are generally being used by customers to find out goods and services like you are dealing with. You can find a number of Search Engine Optimization tools on Internet which could be very beneficial for a beginner. Using the right keywords could be crucial to your website's success.
  • Take advantage of social media and forums - Try to create a Facebook page for your online website and populate it. That could prove to be very beneficial. You can also join forums that discuss topics related your webpage. You can get targeted audience there which is definitely a clear advantage for you.
  • Needless to mention the overall design of your website is a deciding factor for good traffic. It should not be cluttered and should be easy to navigate. You must keep the customer first while designing a website. Try to see things from a customer's point of view.

It seems like the common consensus here is that the content is king, and so that is certainly where the focus should be. It can also certainly depend on what you are ranking them on, but if it has anything to do with quality then you should start there. If going by the numbers though then you might look elsewhere.

What great advice..thank you so much. I have always seemed to worry about the tags that I attach to my blogs/sites. I wonder if they are good enough or should I include more. It seems like content as well as the title of posts are almost always at the top of these types of list. I also agree with this and would like to thank you for adding the formatting issue..also an important part of maintaining a successful blog/site.

I would focus heavily on creating new content that would be coming in on a nearly daily basis. After that, I would focus on pushing social media to the max. In other words, I would be creating social media pages with a lot of followers and a lot of shares. Finally, I would do a lot of guest posting on relevant websites.

On the other hand, though, I would not focus on forum signatures, link exchanges, blog commenting, and directory submissions. Can anyone note other things to avoid a focus on?

These here are great ways to make a site outstanding and get it out there but for me No 1 is content. This is simply about giving people a reason to search for your blog and keep repeating their visit in your niche.

Not everyone has the money to advertise their site through AdSense sadly. I personally prefer promoting my site through social media for better engagement with my potential visitors.
