How about starting an E-commerce store? Well in this days lot of people prefer to buy products online rather than going to a local store. I've seen some people making awesome money from small online store

Well I was thinking to start a youtube channel on tech products reviews. I'd like to know some tips to start one.

I think the biggest tip is to just get started and make your first video! So many times people try to overthink and plan for every contingency, but the best bet is to get started and learn along the way. Pick a product you want to review, do it, and gather feedback and make the next video better!

I think it really depends on what exactly you mean by passive. There are several options out there that allow you make about five dollars at a time once a week or so by doing little stuff, but certainly that is nowhere near enough for anything substantial. Then of course there are other options that can get you more, so it just really depends on how much you are looking to make, because it really does send you in different directions.

There are tons of methods to earn money online.

eBooks and eCourses
Affiliate and Niche Websites
Membership Programs
Software Development (iPhone & iPad Apps)
Consultation Services
Packing and Selling of Podcasts

I always assumed having a bunch of videos uploaded at once would help tremendously because that means your early onlookers will see that you are building content that they like and that they would like to see at another time. So your subscriber rate will probably increase with a lump sum of videos when you first start. And the suggested videos will lead them to your other videos as well. So even if they are just viewing your videos on that day and never again, they will at least see multiple videos instead of one.

But the first rule of the game is to do what you love. If you tried doing the above method using something you are not passionate about you will burn yourself out fast.

I am not sure as what is included in the list but I can tell you about my own experience. I have posted articles on many websites which pay on 'pay per view' basis and as soon as I reach my threshold they send my payment to my PayPal. I find it as one of the easiest ways, not a big earner though.

If you want passive income, your best bet is to write articles with affiliate links in them and hope that one of the articles stays popular over the long-term. If you really care about the income being passive (zero work required), there's an app called PerkTV that will pay you for idling and watching videos. I personally think that the pay is so low from Perk that it isn't worth using, but it's pretty passive -- you just let it run most of the time (I think 4 hours at a stretch as of now).

One thing I will say right now is try to join a network and make sure it's what you can work with and have flexibility in. Adsense can and will jab you or close your account if you make too much and anyone tries to mess with you by clicking your ads. The networks seem to have better control over this and don't penalize their members, but Adsense will straight out jack you and steal the money a lot of times, even if they have to fabricate the reason why to do so. Stay far away from Adsense. I've been there and done that years ago, and they stole about $3,000 from me. I tried to sue them, but somehow Google has protection from the US govt and indemnity to where you can't on some engagements, or they make it really difficult to. I'd just use networks or alternative ways to monetize what you have if you have the choice.

Well I cannot offer you too much in the form of tips, but I have to applaud your efforts because I have always thought that this was a pretty lucrative way to earn a passive income on the internet. Of course getting to the point where others want to advertise on your page is the issue, so you have to make sure that the content is worth people's time. Once you get there, though, I would imagine that it is pretty easy to monetize it.

Unfortunately I have been writing on sites which do not allow affiliate links in them or any links that redirect readers to other sites. The best we can do as far link is concerned the image source link.

It depends on how much or how little you are willing to make at first. You can get started today with something like Swagbucks, InstaGC, PerkTV, or other places that pay money for watching ads on a mobile device or PC, doing surveys, and stuff like that. If you only need an extra $50 or $75 a month, then that surely qualifies and can get you that. Is it the most efficient use of your time? No. Will it work and give you something? Yes. They have prepaid gift cards from stores to visa cards that can help cut monthly expenses, even if they don't give you outright cash if you don't have a paypal account for some reason.

Selling items or goods on Craigslist and some of the mobile sites that have been starting to appear on the Google Play Store for Android is another way to help you make passive money online. Even if there aren't things you want to sell or have to sell on there, you can offer to list and sell things for other people and make a percentage of it if it sells. The buyer would be paying you for the item, so the person who lists it would have to trust you enough to hold on to it to complete the sale. But since that money goes to you first? You will always be paid your percentage immediately, and can give the person you sell items for the difference you agreed upon. You don't have to tell them where you are selling it, just that you will list it on multiple sites and avenues for sale to get it sold. If it doesn't sell, then there is no fee. That is a really popular offer to someone wanting to make money on selling something but not have to pay a listing fee up front. So you have that opportunity and possibility right there.

Another way to make money is as a personal assistant. There are people who make a lot of money daily, but the interactions, communications, and organization they need requires 4 hands or more to where it becomes overwhelming for them. You can meet their needs by helping them with all of that, and they can pay you to do it when they are too busy to be able to do that for themselves. It can be anything from answering phone calls to responding to emails, or managing something for them during the day that is easy to watch over, but would be impossible for them to do otherwise.

If you are good at helping others with their computer needs, then you will find that using things like TeamViewer or LogMeIn to remotely connect and remove spyware for others can be extremely lucrative, especially if you do it on a global scale. The only thing required for this is to have a working internet connection, and a computer that you can use to connect to theirs to fix things. You can bill them through paypal or any other merchant that you have at your disposal. After the first month or two, you may have to register it for business use rather than personal, since it is only free for personal use. They know that some people may use thier services to start a business, and so they are pretty understanding about that and will let you use it for free to get something started as long as you're willing to pay for it later to make it worth their while, too.

Graphic design and web development. It's very saturated now. Very. You can still make money with it even still.

Mobile development. If you are a programmer, you can make a nice amount of money developing unique mobile applications for businesses that need them.

Advertising. If you see a local business that needs advertising and you know that you can help them and you're able to prove it, there can be money in that for you by reaching them online and showing them what you can do to improve their online and offline business by having you at the helm.

Subtitling videos is another way to make money. Computers have come a long way and are very good with relational databases, but computers are still no match for the intuition and common sense of the human being. There is a need for people to know and see what the computers cannot! You can label and tag things that a provider needs and make it so that their videos have audio subtitles as they need them. Closed captioning for TV shows and movies are often done this way. You can do it directly, or you can work for a large company that guarantees you video work like Rev.com. To add to this, you can occasionally do transcription or other types of captioning to make money between this.

These are just a few ways that you can make passive money online when you want to. The only time you have to dedicate yourself to anything is when you confirm and commit to any one project. Other than that, you're free to do any or all of these whenever you like. :) I hope this helps you!

Though there are several ways to earn online income, as suggested by the members, I have tried only one method so far. That is by writing articles to different sites. I am interested in Affiliate marketing and have been in the process of learning more about it.

Either people are confused by what the term passive income means, or I've got it wrong?

Passive income is the ability to earn, but by not actually doing anything you wouldn't do normally. One example is searching on Google. There are apps out there that you can download that will pay you a few cents here and there to search using a particular search engine. Watching videos is another example, and there's apps that allow you to earn by clicking and watching videos, things you'd probably do on a normal day. Is that not what passive income is?

I think everyone is searching for this on internet and since I'm one of them and a member of this forum I decide to start this thread and see which are the best ways to make passive income online these days. In the name of all who read and use the information, tips and strategies to generate passive income... THANK YOU!

By passive income are you talking about just setting things up and start earning without doing anything else.Well for me I don't think you'll earn much online this way because even with all the stress it difficult to earn much let alone just setting things up and going away to come for dollars.

But you can still try out.just sign up with sites that allow you download for pay, watch videos and movie for pay, surf the net through their site for pay,buy and get money back sites, play videos games for pay, just show ads on your phone screen for pay.

There are a lot of them like this but don't expect tidy sum from them maybe.

Totally agree. You can earn passively,if you already have millions of Dollars in your bank account and you living from the interests;)

In long term view it is nnnot easy to earn the passive income. You have to turn it into busienss. just passing by income earning is not going to earn much.. and for this reason I think people should be focused on making it a busienss. and that way they can earn some good money too. so one should consider earning passive income with enough effort on their part. I personally think that people should focus on their daily earning first.
