I have made decent money translating online in the past, but mostly with private contractors. Money was good, but finding clients is hard, so I would like to join a site and work from there.
I've tried Unbabel, but there isn't enough work - the English-Italian market is saturated, too many translators competing for just a few tasks. Can you recommend me an alternative to Unbabel?

Try freelancing sites like Upwork, Toptal, Elance or Freelancer.
You can find a lot Translating jobs there.
If you get good reviews/scores you will get more jobs and employers will hire you again and again.

Thank you for the suggestions. I tried Upwork but I was discouraged by the high commission and the high cash out minimum. I feel like that site has a lot of potential for regular users but I think that earning enough to cash out will take me a lot of time.
I will look into the other sites too, maybe there will be more work there!

To be honest, you will have a hard time getting a good score/reviews at the beginning.
If you prove yourself the employers will come looking for you.

You can make it a gig on freelancing sites especially on Fiverr,I know it never easy at the beginning but if you are good, you will start having clients in no time,so try it out.

You can also try Guru, which is another general freelancing site, or translating sites like Gengo, Translate.com and TRADUguide. I'm sure that there are a lot of Italian translators, but there's probably a lot of work too. Just don't give up, keep checking and sending offers, and after you complete your first few gigs and get some reviews it will get easier. The best way to make it on these sites is a nice, complete profile and some good reviews.

Hello, I am a newbie to making money online.

I have already tried microworkers, swagbucks, rapidworkers, clickworkers, spare5, etc and I am sticking to only swagbucks and microworkers.

Though I earn $200 ~ $300/month using the 2 websites, I want to earn much more.
I have a computer with high internet connection and I have very fast accurate typing skills.

Anyone know legit typing jobs or translation jobs?

Have you tried Babel Cube?

Hello friend! Many people try to manipulate this business by using Google translator. But, if you are a manual trader and bilingual then you can earn huge money on different sites. Upwork and freelancer.com are the leading websites in this regard! Am I right?

getting translation jobs nowaday is a herculian tasks.it was an easiest tasks to do in the past.but now, why would anybody requuire the srvices of a translators when there several translator softwares online. also google translator is there for us as well. so looking for where to get translanting offers is nowaday difficult.
It is true that there are plethora of translation Softwares everywhere. Most of these softwares are free to use and they are very handy too. In the light of this, it will be so difficult go get a translation job now unlike what it used to be. I think that translation jobs are being phased out.

i would never recommend using such kind of software because they could translate the language in a really inaccurate manner. Such kind of translators should be avoided at all costs, especially if you are writing an academic paper. These kind of translators are merely used to get an idea about what the text actually says.

I am aware that the softwares and not hundred percent accurate and there is bound to be mistakes. It is highly necessary to ensure you check the translation made by the softwares so that you won't submit documents with lot of mistakes. They are not meant to be used hundred percent, but they are meant to be used as an assistant.

The good thing is that making money online as a translator is also becoming a mainstream method of making money. SpeakT is a site that pay people to work as a translator. They need to get many things translated such as legal papers. They pay through PayPal. It is a good website apparently.

Most of this website only accept people as the payment gateway. I would prefer to receive payment in cryptocurrency or better still perfectmoney or payeer. I find it very difficult to believe why most of this website will only be using PayPal when they knew that it is not available globally.

Well, if PayPal is not accepted in your country, then no issues at all. At SpeakT, you can also withdraw your money through bank wire transfers as well. This is a good news for you if you want to work as a translator, but the amount of work could be limited based on your language skills and the kind of language you are good at.

It is quite informative but I do not think that I am going to consider working on translation site because I know that the task will be limited based on the language i can offer. It is definitely going to limit one's ability,I would rather prefer to channel my energy on more productive platform like beermoneyforum.

Yes, the kind of language you speak could have a really major effect on the number of orders you may receive. There are many sites that have a lots of orders related to translating Spanish to English and vice versa as these languages are most often spoken in the United States. It is great that you prefer beermoney forum over other money making sites.

Beermoneyforum is worth it because you can earn reasonable amount here if you're dedicated and consistent. One just need to be very careful so as not to get banned. I have been trying to take this into consideration because I don't want to lose this forum. It has been a great forum all the way. I will definitely want to continue posting here and I try as much as possible to improve on my post on a daily basis.
