Some places allow you to make forum posts and your payment would be shared hosting, or better yet, a VPS (virtual personal server). Does anyone see this situation as a good deal or a scam? Anyhow, so far, I've not seen as posting demands above 50 a month, so it doesn't seem that difficult.

Oh, by the way, it seems like all this stuff is for a VPS only. Does anyone know of any for shared hosting?

It seems that there are so many ways to earn online but this is the first time I've heard of this idea to pay for hosting by posting. Not a bad idea but it is applicable only to those with a website. But for those like me with no website to maintain, I don't think it will be beneficial for us. However, I am beginning to be interested in VPS because I also have fluid plans of having my own website although I'm hesitant because I might not have the time to spare for that.

Forum posting for shared hosting has too much competition. For one thing, a lot of places offer totally free hosting and other companies are offering hosting for a dollar a month. Of course, some say, though, that a VPS can be a good trade-off for posting, but I'm sure the 1 USD a month hosting plans have very cheap VPS deals also. Nonetheless, as mentioned, I have seen post-4-vps stuff out there, but no post for shared host.

I don't think how a site makes money to pay a user is of any problem but the problem should be if the pay.if the pay then there's nothing scamming about it.Hubpages a popular writing platform shares their advertising revenue with the users, does that makes them a scam. The fact remains that the pay for your hardwork and that's a fair deal to me.

Post to host is the name of the concept. You can see that there are some of the hosting companies who need content on their forums. and they offer such plans to the user. In past this was common concept among those host but due to adblocker suhc hosts are not much there anymore. now the prices are cheap for VPS and the sites. and you can pretty much make use of the hosting offers from such places and make decent hosting. no need for paid to host anymore.

If somebody paid you with hosting he maybe get some earning as affiliate of hosting he give you as payment. Or he just has bad VPS and not use it.

Hosting is one of the things you should not go with free, in any form of way.

Your host is your connection to the world, making sure you can advertise your products.

You cant have that go offline for even a second because you will miss out on earnings. It will impact the site in many ways, loosing visitors and ranking.

That is why I always recommend going with paid hosting. If you know what you are doing you can get the money back in a couple of days.

So no, I dont think it is a good deal, but also not a scam.
It just makes no sense to get free hosting. You are not important enough for the customer support, and the product will be sub-par. Hosting such as 000webhost is terrible for example.

Can you share as bad experience with 000webhost? I'm planing set up few test sites over there and show them my clients and here.

If you have clients looking for web hosting I advise don't upload their content/files on free web hosting.
They will see you not a professional and will stop hiring you.

No, no. I will set test/example page on 000webhost. Send link to my clients. If they like project, then we will buy domain and hosting and set page there.

Every site i hosted on 000webhost was offline for a couple hours a day. There is also a "rest hour" in which your site will not be reachable.
When you are busy configuring wordpress for example the site can crash, making you go offline for hours too. Basically it is a nightmare to get anything done, and when you are done it will never work well.

Ok. I will try find some other free hosting with ability to connect with Freenome free .tk domain. I hope they won't be any forced ads.
