Business, as lucrative as it may be sometimes faces challenges of loss. As shareholders it is expected that both profit or loss in a business should be shared but most investors don't care about the company's profit or loss but their agreeed stipulated profit .
In my opinion it is better to be a share holder in a business than to be an investor cos you will have the ability to learn more about the business and managerial skill while.you also enjoy the profit or loss but as investors there limitations other than the compulsory payment of interest he benefits.

As strange as it may sound, a shareholder connects a lot more to the business than an investor as the shareholder shares in both the good and the bad times of the company. All an investor cares about is the return of profits on his investment.
Yeah, the investors are always busy reading new paper to see how business are doing to enable them anticipate their dividends, they careless about innovations nor improvement though the risk is truly less

Investors gains more in a business than shareholders. Investors will always have their agreed percentage of interest whether the business strives or not but shareholders only enjoy dividends when profit are made from the business

yep I agree to this, I've tried being a shareholder and an investor, as a shareholder I don't really get that much, but by being an investor I got more than a shareholder

Agreed with the above comments that you get more as an investor. Moreover, as an investor you don't have to spend time and effort in the business that's why people can invest in multiple businesses but rarely be a shareholder in multiple companies.

Yep, as an investor you'll just throw your money and wait as you'll get your end of the contract depending on the agreement, as a stakeholder your income is dependent whether the company or project is going well or not

Definitely, companies knows that investors are like the backbone of the business without them the business will fail,so investors are treated better with good incentives.

At initial the investors are the king before the company need to survive but the moment the companies begin to grow stronger and famous, investors don't longer get more incentives as expected.

Why do you think so? I think the more money a company makes then the more profit goes to investors, just like the dividend given to shareholders.

What I meant is that why trying to grow a business especially if you need funds for fast expansion, the share holders or Investors may be demanding for higher percentage shares or dividends for a period of time which you may succumb to just to get the finance, if eventually you succeed and the time frame expired if a new deal is to be set you can give them your own convinient terms because at this point you may be numerous intending investors because people love to Invest in already grown and sustained companies or busineses.

An investor poses less risk as compared to a share holder , but then a share holder benefits note than an investor , when the company or business makes gain .
However , I will prefer to be an investor , because I don't have to be too busy with the affairs of the business, all I need is to wait for my interest to mature .

Okay going by your analogy here I think there is how it should be. A favourable terms and conditions will be enacted when once the business is more established.

That's how it is played in business world, if you check most banks their initial dividends for shareholders are usually high but as time goes on they reduce the percentage given as dividends because at a point they don't need serous push to get investors so they spend less once the break even.

Some people do weigh the option because been a shareholder you will share both risks and benefits while investor share no risk in most cases but only the benefits or profit..

I don't agree with you at all, I think no matter how big a business grows you still need investors, and to keep the business running you must keep attracting investors with nice profit rates

Being investor is better since it has less risk than being a shareholder. Investors are also more fluid in that when something bad happens like this pandemic they can simply move their investment to another, more profitable company, like pharmaceutical, which is in high demand during this time.

I don't it is that easy to divert investment when you have investment in a company affected by pandemic already, remember there is time for dividends to be shared.

Investor or shareholder in any business set up, both have demerit and merit. It's just that one care less about the progress or development of the business. Investor doesn't care about all I mentioned. It's the shareholder that will shoulder the loss in business.
It the event obvious losses even the investors also share loses so it is not all time gains, I prefer been a shareholder if I don't have any other time consuming busineses.

Yeah, that is true. Investors don't care much about the business. They only care about what they earn from investing in the business. So whether the business gets profit or not, they will always want their agreed profits.

Normal investors seems to be the best since they have fixed their profit and those holders might either depends on the company circumstances either it makes loss or profit
