There are many cryptocurrency exchanges, and these exchanges often use twitter as a means by which to communicate with their customers, and in so doing they are able to communicate to a lot of people at the same time. However you need to beware of who is commenting on the post. There are some cases where a person will impersonate a member of the exchange team and comment and ask for you to send the funds to them for unlocking your account or for any task you want to do on the exchange site, for a better rate, and these should be avoided at all costs. Only rely on teh information obtained directly for the legitimate twitter handle.

In fact, this is really informative. Though I have not experienced it before but I will take note of this. I would also tell people about this information so that they would not fall victim.

Not just on Yobit but almost all social media platforms including YouTube. In the comment section, you'd people using the channel owner's profile picture and username to lure people into scam deals.
I have noticed this as well. Generally what i tend to do is that i prefer to go directly to the website and then follow their social media accounts that are listed on the website. any other social media account i chalk up as being fake, and do not engage with it at all.

That is simply the best solution. I once found myself in 2 APENFT Telegram channels and later discovered that both were not the official channel and people were selling and buying NFTs there.

Telegram does have a lot of scam accounts that are associated with it, and whilst it is unfortunate to see, I think it is because of the ease with which these accounts can be created.

Worse is the fact that a channel can accommodate to the tune of thousands, hence giving such a look of genuiness to unsuspecting persons.

Yes, there are websites that actually provide you with fake followers and that is very bad because it creates a very legitimate look, however i think that if there is no link between the website and the account then it should just be considered as a scam.

I would never send funds to anyone, not even to the genuine member of the team of any exchange I am working with. In fact, no real member of any exchange would ever ask you to send money! You must always contact the official support team of the exchange and inform them about this if such a thing happens to you. This is the best way to avoid scams.
