ArnoldC is an Esoteric programming language inspired by the one-liners of popular Austrian-American actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. An Esoteric programming languages are usually programming languages created as a joke or a proof of concept to test the boundaries of computer programming language design. Which means they are not designed to be used in creating real functional applications.
The syntax of ArnoldC is quite funny and is mostly based on the statement the actor made in his movies especially in the movie Terminator.
An HelloWorld Example of the language is
Running the code in an ArnoldC interpreter will print out "Hello, World!".
An explanation of example above:
IT'S SHOWTIME: This is used to signify the beginning/entry of the program, it's just like the main function in java.
TALK TO THE HAND "Hello, World!": This means print out the string "Hello, World!
YOU HAVE BEEN TERMINATED:
This is used to signify end of program.
There are alot of ArnoldC interpreter available in different languages, also since the language is relatively simple and contains just few "keywords", it is a fun practice to create an ArnoldC interpreter in any language you are familiar with.
What do you think about this language, do you find it interesting or funny?
