Are there any web hosting provider which charges no more than $20 for a whole year's hosting? It would be better if it supports wordpress, and offer a free .COM domain name for a year too. I guess I'm asking too much, lol.

Any suggestions? Any replies would be appreciated.

Hello, Yourenglishcafe.

Renewal cost is the same, unless the prices increases. But until now remains the same.

Unfortunately we can't say how many visitors it will handle, it depends on what you will use. If you have heavy website, not optmized website, not cached, images not compressed and also the kind of CMS you are using (I suppose that is Wordpress)

You can give a try, if you don't like us. You can ask for a refund.
Keep in mind Web Hosting is Shared with other customers.

I probably recommend you use a VPS for that can, but Web Hosting can work it depends in lot of things.

If you want more information about that
You can contact our livechat, or open a ticket support.
Thank you

Thank you for your reply.

How much do you charge for a VPS? I was a little suprised by your suggestion, I have been hosted on shared hosting (although in fairness slightly more expensive than yours) without a problem for many years.

Still I am very impressed that renewal cost is the same - in my experience that is very unusal, I will most likely give it a go.

Hello, yourenglishcafe

You need to know what requirements you will need to your website. For example for running smoothly, fast and have a better performance.

We have VPS starting 4€ monthly (just change it to monthly) you will see 4€, or yearly 11,88€ (is a promotion of 0.99€ only if you pay yearly, that will cost you 11,88/12 months = 0.99 montly)

If you pay monthly will be 4€.
We have more plans for VPS, just take a look into our Website.

If you select LXC VPS or Cloud LXC VPS plan, you will configure your VPS with your requirements, as you wish:

There are various webhosting services and some go as low as 10$ a year or less for example freeweb host offers free hosting but limited features, you could find out more from Google.

Free hosts are usually quite unreliable, (there is a reason why they are free!!). Cheap hosting can be very cheap indeed and the difference in quality between a free host and a cheap host is considerable and worth paying for.

Yeah, that is why I afforementioned that free host services can only do much, as it is free and makes the services limited, the gist website might also offer cheap rate for other packages.

Of course free makes your services limited. They also can sell your data. Since is it free.

If you have a personal blog, business company or even a forum you should never use free hosting, people never will trust on it. Even me, I shouldn't register or going to that website.

When people see that, they see that project are not serious enough to be register in it. And that makes sense.

We have 10€ yearly plan for web hosting shared.

We quality is good, for what you pay. You can give a try and ask for a refund if you don't like it.

Have a nice day

Yeah, free hosting is usually used by newbies to web design and development programming to test run their programs. I would put Alex host into consideration

Free Hosting is used only to test, never do something professional in Free Hosting.
I prefer use localhost to test my stuffs than free hosting.

Sure, you're welcome.

Anything you can talk with our support.

Thank you.

I always look for a few things: Reliability, Support/Knowledge, Price - you get what you pay for really.

Now a days I think almost any host is reasonably reliable. Downtime is very rare for anything other than the very cheapest host. Support is perhaps a little different, but then, only if you are a newbee, if you have even a little experience then you shouldn't really need the help of support much.

What are the individual conditions?

Individual conditions for what?

In general if you are talking about cheap (very cheap) webhosting, they are all pretty similar. They will claim to give you unlimited hosting (but there are lots of details in the fine print so when your site gets even slightly popular you will find you are forced to upgrade). It's fine for blogs and small sites.

There are many websites that offered domain and website services that are less than $20, one of such site is free web host where one can even get domain service for free.

The question is not really IF there are webhosts that are very cheap or free, the question is IF there are GOOD webhosts that are very cheap or free. Any when it comes to free webhosting and free domains the answer is pretty much no, they exist but they aren't good.

Actually freewebhost is actually good or I wouldn't have suggested it, they offer a wide range of plans from zero subscription fee to about $100 but the higher the price the higher the quality.

I went to freewebhost.com and it doesn't appear to offer free hosting at all, (free for 15 days only). Have I gone to the wrong site?

In general there MUST be a catch, nothing in life is free :) The most common of course is to get people to sign up for free and then tell them their site has too much traffic and try and force an upgrade

No catch, you just simply register and have access to the free trial just that the free tri is meant to help you see if you like the service and test run a new project.

Have you tried Bluehost?
Normally, a domain name costs $14.99/year and website hosting plans start from $7.99/month. This is a lot of money if you are just starting out. Luckily, Bluehost has agreed to offer our users a free domain, SSL certificate and 60% discount on web hosting which you only need to pay $2.95/month for web hosting (cheapest plan), and you will get a domain name for free, so you can start your website without spending a lot of money.
Bluehost are in business since 2003 and host more than 2 million websites. Not to mention, they're officially recommended by WordPress. Bluehost is also cheap and the most used, reliable, Wordpress recommended and easy to use hosting platform.

But the free trial is only for a couple of weeks - that is not exactly what most people mean when they say free! There are plenty of places that offer free hosting for life, with lots of catches.

I would like to know an example of a holster of domain provider with free hosting for life feature, free web host was formerly a year, it was reduced recently.

Try this link:

It is an article that lists 21 free hosting sites. Some are probably rubbish, and some perhaps are not free, but if you go through the list there should be a couple that are reasonable.

Thank you for sharing. I have made a quick glance through and I think that I am going to try the blue gate as I have heard of it before

You're welcome. I have heard of BlueGate too.

What are you running? If you are operating a small blog/personal site etc then I think you will get on fine with free hosting, anything bigger and you will quickly find that free hosting has it's limits.
