Back when i was in germany, i noticed that a lot of videos have double ads in the intro, which means, when the first ad ends or you skip it, another one plays, but when i came back to my country only single ads started appearing in the intro.
Are those ads being set automatically or it's up to the youtuber to add them ?

Content creators on YouTube manually select the nature and number of ads that can be posted on their videos. However YouTube algorithm mainly decides the frequency of double ads you come across with
i don't think so, back when i was in germany, i was still watching the same youtubers i used to watch in my country, and never experienced something similar

I think it's random, and not country specific since I also occasionally encounter it despite the fact that not many advertisers here in my country.

I think it is YouTube that determines that. I have watched so many videos with single, double even three ads before the video even starts. I don't think any Youtuber will want ads to begin his video especially more than one at a time.

it's just pretty weird that it happened to me only when i changed my location (i actually did travel not used VPN), so it happened to me only when i'm in Germany

trust me some youtubers don't even care about the viewers, some of them keep adding ads each a while that people keep making fun of that in the comments

I think the ads come to the page randomly and the ads are not more than two or the highest is three. Not that it is assigned for any page to be opened on youtube. Because it is assigned by the programmer then the youtube users will surely complain about it.

That is quite serious and the YouTubers should know how off putting such can be. It is okay to get one ad before you even get access to the content but double and triple ads should be reviewed.

oh well, youtube isn't really concerned about how much ads a youtuber can put as long as they appear for people, it's a money matter at the end, that's why premium exists

It should be a random kind of thing, I don't think it is country specific, though I have never experienced that when watching a video on youtube

One of the reasons some people turn away from television for YouTube is that they don't want to enjoy too many commercials. However, YouTube viewers were disappointed by the large number of advertisements.

I don't think content creators on YouTube have any influence on the amount of ads that gets shown on their content, I have also experienced multiple ads at the start of watching a YouTube video, the maximum being 3 ads but most times it's just the one intro ad,

Who has been watching YouTube on a smartphone when the annoying advertisements suddenly appear? This incident must have been very frustrating because it made our viewing pleasure uncomfortable because it was cut off because of an advertisement.

Double commercials on YouTube are a successful strategy to boost ad revenue, but they can be annoying and make viewers less likely to watch the whole thing. The requirement to generate income and the desire to offer viewers a satisfying viewing experience must be balanced by content producers.

The YouTube ad serving system combines targeting options and algorithms to choose which ads to show to users. While content producers have some control over the ads that show in their videos, advertisers can decide what kind and how many adverts to display. The amount of advertisements that play during a video's beginning may differ based on when and where you are watching it because ad regulations and practices are subject to change over time.

Although YouTube automatically inserts ads based on the videos' content, demographics, and targeting preferences, content producers can choose to manually insert ads or change the frequency with which they appear. Different advertisements in videos could be the result of different advertising laws or preferences among content producers.

There are a lot of ad placement options on YouTube, but factors like location, device, and watch history can change how many and where adverts are displayed to users. In accordance with sponsor demand and audience interaction, YouTube may also change the number and location of the ads.

YouTube may display two commercials if viewers frequently skip them in order to force them to watch at least one. Additionally, some advertisers might put bids for ad spots with higher CPMs, increasing the frequency of the ads.

When a viewer watches a video, the algorithm takes into account factors such as the video's length, audience retention, and other engagement metrics to determine whether or not to serve a double ad. In general, shorter videos are more likely to have double ads, as are videos that have a high engagement rate
