As reported by the next web, ios 14, Apple latest and newest operating system will introduce much needed privacy feature that most people would certainly welcome - the requirement for users' permission before apps are allowed to collect their data. This big security update, albeit a late one, was met with backlash from advertisers and many other companies that gain money by stealing people's data like Facebook and Google. Facebook warned that the move would reduce their ads revenue while other companies like DMG Media even threatened to delete their app from Apple's app store.

I believe that this was a strategy by Apple to promote this new operating system and I know that most other companies won't be happy with it especially for the fact that it will affect their revenue.

That's a very good step they have taken towards ensuring users privacy. Those companies complaining are not serious, they enjoy using people's data for their selfish gain even without the users consent. Even though their use of users data is a two way beneficent method, it should be with the person's consent.

There's no need for Apple to promote their OS since most people already know about it, it's the 14th version of it. Other companies will not be affected much since Windows still reign supreme, and most of Apple products are overpriced anyway.

People will divert to it for the fact that they have improve the privacy protection . People want their details to be safe especially now that the rate of hacking is on the rise

Nah, that won't happen. Apple has more than problems than just privacy, like overpricing their servicing price. What you can get with a Samsung Android phone for $200 Apple will sell it for $600 even though both has same features and same specifications.

True bro , but then Apple deals with quality. Apple products are of higher quality to the one of Samsung . However I still agree with you that Apple are really over charging us with their products

Wow. Why then the high price by Apple ? , Perhaps it is because they have gotten enough audience that have loved their product and will pay high to get it

Because they're greedy. They do have fans, not that big but are fanatical. Once they sell a phone stand for no less than $999. Imagine selling a molded plastic that you can get somewhere else for just 2-5$.

Glad to hear that. Definitely a good news for us users to ensure that our privacy is safe. Of course, application vendors need to ask for our agreement first because it's our personal data.

I totally agree with you..why are they complaining about the new improvement...it's just because there is a very big agenda towards it...if they want people's data, they should take permission...but you see, they are not ready for that..rather they are ready to use people's data for fraudulent activity..good work Apple ios

Those opposing it should be Ashamed of themselves. It is just so unfortunate that we are already used to them taking our data without our permission that we don't really care how they want to do with it provided we enjoy the services they render.

They don't care about shame lol. Since if they're able to get our data it will be big money for them, easy peasy. Don't expect too much from big companies, most of them are bad now.

You are right about that. Many people do not really care about where their data ends up provided they have access to the services being rendered. It is a form of exploitation by all those companies.

They know about this. That is why they do not really fear any uproar that may arise countering their exploiting us. Even now that awareness is raised , nobody wants to speak against it.

This is their stock in trade using people's data for their selfish gain. This is a good idea companies complaining should be overlooked for this.

It is not surprising when several people did not believe Facebook when it climbed it would be reviewing the private policy in favour of users. That decision could just have been made to silence those complaining.

Yeah ones privacy shouldn't be joked with especially now that hackers are on the prowl. No excuses should be entertained by them. People privacy needs to be protected
