In case you didn't know, Intel was making processors (CPUs) for Apple, but recently, Apple decided to move to producing ARM based cpus instead of the old school regular ones, with AMD almost taking over the marketplace, i believe if Intel doesn't stand up, it will lose the marketplace and disappear .
What do you think about that?

Intel does pretty well on its own. Its creating CPU for its own Microsoft computers and much more. Although a loss for them can do well.
Intel and microsoft are two different separated companies, windows is just an operating system and can work on both intel & amd cpus

This is quite a blow for Intel, but then I don't think Intel will disappear anytime soon. They are still big and hold decent market share in pc hardware market.

By releasing 10th gen processors, that didnt help at all since most of those cpus reach high temperatures easily even if the performance is high too, if they dont find solutions, they will disappear for sure

What a blow for Intel! Anyway they have been into the market a while and have made a made for themselves, so they can't just go like that. They will certainly bounce back. It's a matter of time.

This is very bad for Intel even though they are already a major household name in making processors (CPUs) this should be a wake up call for Intel to also step up their game so as to stay relevant.

Intel should have the behind them that some day Apple will leave them , things can continue in the same way someday it will change, Intel may not be surprised at this development.

if apple can produce their own processors or even better processors than intel then I believe intel might have to step up their game. I think intel will have some money reduced from here but if they can still produce high quality stuffs that can continue satisfy their costumer I guess this wouldn't be much of an issue for them

it's hard to compete against Intel, since it's still taking over when it comes to CPU's with decent single core performance, even AMD still didn't reach that level with its higher cores count CPU's, if Intel drops prices, no other company will ever beat it

Apple will also take time to be able to compete and gain the market size Intel occupy currently even for the fact that apple is also a well known company in IT.

apple users will always buy anything that's made by apple like usual even if it's gonna be more expensive with weaker performance, so they still got clients to sell to.

I agree with you but statistically the number of apple users are few compare to the market size of Intel no doubt will feel the heat but they have break even already in the business.

Well, Apple's intention isn't to join the CPU and start selling them, it just wanted to save itself money and start making them itself without anyone's help

If they want to make the CPU for their own private use it will save them huge cost while Intel will loose their base but Intel will look for new partners.

agree, they will save more if they just make their own, I think intel is still good on their own just that they will lose some big money from this partnership ceasing

Intel already got some places from where it's gonna make more money for sure, it will start making dedicated GPU's, and from the tests that i saw, it seems like they will be a real competitor

If the GPU will be very efficient for mining that will be good away for them to cover the space apple might have created cos more miners will patronise them.

the tests were made on gaming, and they showed some very impressive results, i believe that any gpu that can do 1080p gaming just fine should be fine for mining

Sure it should be good for mining so it more like double opportunity of patronage from miners and games developers .

That fact that apple has indicated interest to start producing their CPUs neither mean that Intel will be outdated, out of fashion or inferior to the proposed ones to be produced. Intel has been in the market for ages and will continue to thrive, despite stiff competition.
