Thinking of starting a beauty blog and I do not know where to start?
Any ideas?

Alot of people are making money by blogging in beauty niche.

Actually, I had read a story of a beauty blogger who started it as a hobby with a blogspot sub domain and now it's one of the most followed beauty blog

And, she is literally making a living out of this blog.

If you are passionate and can write in that niche, then there's alot of money to be made.

First monetization strategy can be affiliate marketing as there's are alot of products in beauty niche that you can recommend to your visitors

Second, you can use Adsense ads, and I am sure CPC will be high in this niche.

People are always looking for stuffs like beauty tips, how to become more beautiful than other girls and how to look younger?

There are thousand blogs these days regarding beauty and makeups etc , use different concept like use this method to get rid of pimples etx like that and these types of blog always successfull ,at first it need time and patiesbt to deal with few views to thousand and even millions after year ;start today and use traffic exchange and advertise in youtube or use social media to get your blog successfull .

Starting a beauty blog is just like starting any blog out there.just get your domain name that will depict your blog niche,pay for hosting.Get your designs and theme right then start posting original content to the blog.Make the content more valuable and interesting.Remember to share to to share on social media,blogs and forum.Then monetize if need be sooner or later.

I've always planned to open a fashion blog too but the things that held me back was the hosting, SEO ranking and other maintenance/web development issue, it mad me feel like i won't be able to handle the stress, but on the other hand i feel fashion blogs attracts a lot of traffic cus personally i visit em alot.

Fahion and beauty are two niches that attract a whole lot of people especially ladies it attracts good organic traffic if the blog is valuable and useful.So anyone going into these twp niches just need the right knowledge and best way to be outstanding and sucess will be imminient.

If you're obsessed with fashion makeup and beauty products!!! then make the first step and buy my domain name and everything and start blogging... try to avoid over consumerism. and you should poste some of your stuff on YouTube and instagram and commit youself to do it regularly!

Beauty blogging will be so nice for making money. I didn't do that. But I think to drive traffic to beauty niche will be easy. And traffic is the money. Also sell some beauty prosucts of your own or affiliates.

And don't wast time thinking , just start it. Every thing is possible if you are interested on it and try hard. Best of luck.

If you want free blog start with blogger. And if you have some money for investment buy a good domain and try a good hosting provider. You can find in this forum some ideas about good hosting services. And start blogging.

@Bhaskar125 so you mean blogger is better than wordpress in general blogging sense?, i asked cus i get confused sometimes when it comes to choosing a platform, and i would appreciate if the reason you prefer blogger to wordpress is stated.

bloging does not seem to lucrative as it used to be in early days cos it is saturated already with lots of people including the beauty niche but if you have got original content that are very helpful and beneficial you will make money

I think every area or niche online Is saturated because a lot of people are coming online to earn now.Ad stated one needs to focus on less talked about topics and write more on topics that are less competitive.

yea,if any newbie go by the information for any niche,I think they will make a success of it,all one need is just to apply the information to his or her own niche and make the very best of it.

I am not saying about ease of use. But if you want to earn money from your free blog, in that case, blogger is good. You can use Adsense in free blogger blog and through blogger it is easy. But I think other subdomains like "yourname.wordpress. com or org they don't give the authority to put an ad on the free blog.
But if you can buy a domain name and can afford a hosting then wordpress is best.

I'm not sure if adsense approves distribution of ads on blogger (might depend on country) but i think there are/were some requirements such as your blogger blog needs to be older than 6 months and 1 or 2 more requirements.
Anyways, if you have a hobby and knowledges about it you should start right away, in the beginning, with a free blog platform such as blogger. I think blogger its much easier to use than wordpress when comes to newbies . Ive heard wordpress it has more options, more plugins but for the paid plans not for the free plan, and these things requires some skills to edit, to add plugins, etc..luckily there are tutorials on internet/youtube but it is frustrating or time wasting for a newbie to learn to add /expand/improve things on wordpress.
I suggest you start with blogger ,start writing an article, learn to apply/change a theme , add a widget , etc.
When you go to a bar or to a new shop your first impression is from the look, the ambience, the theme, etc so the visitors to your blog have to be impressed by a cool theme , good pictures, fast loading , etc. You can find these on a premium responsive theme on envato online shop , themes for blogger are cheap 21$ or so . There are also free cool themes on the internet but purchasing one will save you from troubles like spam, infected themes , etc.
You need to start to learn to use blogger with a free theme from their website or the default one, than later search for a good theme somewhere else to apply it.
You can make as many blogs you want, you can create a random named blog just to practice on it or as a test to see how a new theme will look like.
Time is running, the real (good) visitors and traffic are earned in time and with many articles not a forced bought traffic . Adsense doesnt like fake traffic at all. Success can't be build instantly, Rome has not been built in 1 day so start immediatly the process of learning to use a free blog . When you're ready you can purchase a domain, host .
I have a blog on blogger since 2015 and i still need to write and improve it ,just got a premium theme recently but i need to customize it more. When i have money and enough time i can migrate the blog as it is to a host and a new domain name. I tried to apply to adsense a year or 2 ago but they said that the blog needs more topics and because of to many empty menus.
And avoid at all cost to post links from pictures from internet.
Also avoid to upload to big in size pics, this will make to load slowly on devices keep in mind google gives you 15 or 20 gb free per account to use, so don't waste it with 4k pictures (directly from camera). You can make them smaller and eventually sharpen them in photoshop. Don't forget to resize,crop, images, you will save google drive space and you will earn loading speed of each page of your blog.
You don't need very high quality pics (big in size or to much DPI) on your blog(s) unless are meant to be printable.

I'd recommend blogger especially if you are a newbie. My design skills are not that good but on blogger it is passable. I've never used Wordpress because I find the learning curve very high. It's not like that on blogger. Everything is so simple in blogger. I have two blogs there. Only one is monetized to Adsense but I've been lazy to write for sometime now. Just want to earn some money first.

wow, now i get it, blogger is simpler to use while wordpress is definitely not for a newbie, how i wish the ".blogspot" will be removed from free blogs to make it even easier to access. would have made up my mind already, Thank you guys, so what about the space available for storage in both? which one has more advantage in terms of space?

I know that you can customize the domain on blogger. Something like www.yourdomain.com. I remember seeing a notice for that once on my blogger's official blog. Write to blogger customer service and they'll tell you how to go about it.

will that be for free or an additional cost is attached, im asking because all the free blogger sites I've seen always have the. blogspot address which makes the whole address too long and unstylish.
