It is not just one app, there are countless apps for mining with android devices. It is just that I do not know anyone who uses android to kine cryptocoins and I wonder if all these are really real or if they just destroy silently the device's processor...

There are people preaching about such apps. But hear me out. It's not even reasonable to mine with andorid. Why? here's how. to mine even the single block. you have to get a lot of processing power. which leads to heating of the processor. and that means you're going to be working a lot harder as well. there seems to be a lot of mining process that may happens. you can see that it'd be reasonable to mine the right way through PC or the gaming GPU.

Thank you lad. I have made a research too, most probably all these apps are scam, stealing information or using my tablet's processing power to mine themselves. Yet, I read about Electroneum(ETN) which is made for android mining too although their server is down these days.

How about this? Put some miner on website. Then with app access to website and visiting actually mining bitcoins. I read ThePiratbay do that ansd it spread it cross the world.

Does anyone mine using android devices(tablets, cellular phones)? Has anyone withdrawn money from android mining?
Why do all this android mining software seem scam to me?
Never use any android app ;they are all scam and fake ;they will harm your android or ios function in background :its a simple logic guys !!-mining can only be done with PC with browser power or manually with CPU power using electricily and hardwares equipment which are noisy and expensive !!;simoly contract cloud mining etc like genesis mining etc ;thankx !!....

How does this work exactly? Could you please post a link describing the procedure?
Obviously it is not spread across the world since not so many people know about it... please, upload a link where we can all find more information.

freebitco.in has integrated another provider. Its name is Coinhive. Coinhive has a Javascript that you can integrate in your website. People visiting your site are mining for you. But they have to permit this.
Some sites are currently trying this out. Instead of showing ads, they profit from the mining of their visitors.
The Coinhive scripts mines the crypto currency Monero (XMR). The mining algorythm of XMR is different to that of BTC. For BTC you need special hardware. XMR is best mined with regular CPUs.

Extremely interesting pieces of information! And clarifying above all! Usually people speak out their opinion without justification, your reply was backed properly.
Monero is supposed to be mined on android legally though, according to a few articles it is safer and retains more privacy than bitcoin. But it seems that android is not yet build for mining...

Borke gives excelent explanation of everything. If you need more information here is few articles about topic.

But be careful. If you start this type of monetization, you could be banned from Google or other security companies.

Very interesting articles! I am currently running a mining application on my android which is supposed to mine Ethereum just to see how it ends. However I have not noticed any slowdown on its performance. The app consumes just 5-10% more battery power than usual during my night sleep which sounds normal acvording to my experience with other apps. The only peculiar event was an email from google that someone attempted to login from location and from my device at a time that I was definitely sleeping. Probably it was an attempt from the app but I am using a useless google account on testing such apps. I hope my android survives! :)

Very good. You should always protect your real infomation from untested apps. I have a few gmail and other email providers account for some spamming or untested sites.

I have never tried android mining. I have not come across any good apps. If someone knows of a trustworthy app then I may try it. Nowadays, there are too many scam apps.

This is great and comprehensive but the article is kinda incomplete cos you didn't mention the app here for us to see the possibility of downloading it so that we can try it. Please do help us with the app name

If you are into ether then check out the projecct named akasha. That project seems to be worth spending time on. As it can generate the ether for posting on the cloud. and they seem to be good enough for the posting and then mining some level of the ether using your computer. so I think it'd be good enough in that context. not sure how the mining is there in the background. bbut if people upvote it then this may lead to the earning of the ehte.r

There is one app i heard about it. I think i saw it on BMF or maybe FC i am not sure. They paid one of the members.
I'll try to find and tell you the name of the app.
