Update made available by Nairametrics reveled that American based e-payment platform called stripes has acquired a Nigerian base e-payment platform called paystack to a tune of $200 million which is equivalent of 76 billion naira.
Paystack was Co founded by two young Nigerla enterpreneurs called Ezra Olubi and Shola Akinlade .
They are both excited that with the acquisition the company can easily expand across Africa in a short time.

That seems like a very good deal but a part of me still feel like they shouldn't have given it up for sale like that. Congrats to them anyways.
That's the way most people will feel that they should have grow the company instead of selling but very likely they have a better deal aheaf

I guess many people felt the same way but I am sure that they must have weighed that decision very well before taking the deal.

Yeah I was proud of them to have invented the company and sustain it till it was sold, very sure they will come up with bigger project.

How

Wow, that's quite a win for the two young entrepreneurs. We certainly can't dispute their success and no doubt astute business acumen. But I also kind of wish they'd expanded the business themselves because the fact that the Stripe people bought it off them tells me it had great potential. But I guess like you say, @De-rector, they'll probably come up with bigger better projects in the future, especially now that they've just earned all that money! Good for them ?? So we may well see Stripe expanding across Africa - that'd be great!

I have seen many such companies of late, an example is WazirX exchange, which was acquired by Binance.

Not sure how the former exchange benefits, when things are really getting very hot in the Crypto world they just sell their business or maybe they have a deal.

This is a good deal to both the Nigeria paystack and stripe as this will give paystack and opportunity to earn from stripes interest in UK and US where they would have not been able to operate in .

I hope this will make Nigerlans to use stripe to recieve Money because the payment platform is available in few countries. I can testify that paystack is still very much active in Nigeria.

Yeah but this will happen if the deal they made involves the two companies making their services available to each other countries .

Good news. Good to know promising platforms with potentials are rising daily despite the current economic hardship in our country. Shows citizens are resilient and should be encouraged to achieve more.

If the government of the present and the past had invested heavily on human resources and education, Nigerla would have been one of the top notch country with technology and different ways to make money both online and offline.

Ofcourse is unfortunate that things are not going well in a country like Nigeria which was blessed with natural resources that should be a source of revenue for carrying out developments

Do shade more more light on the payment platform, for it to attract potential buyers and even close a deal then it must have been really viable but sadly i i did not have any information about it.
