In a job posting about Amazon's "new payment product" --- "This product will allow customers to use online services, including shopping for products and / or services such as Prime Video, to convert their cash into digital currency" --- expressions were used.
The publication stated that Amazon's Digital and Emerging Payments (DEP) division plans to launch the product first in Mexico.
What do you think of this venture of Amazon company?

Amazon is a big company and i know they studied this project before taking it in action. I wodner if it will work like Cryptocurrencies stable coin perhaps

Will the digital currency be a new one created by Amazon as a company or it will adopt the use of one of the existing coins? I do wonder.
I wanted to review the details of the news, but something different did not catch my attention. When I read the current news, I understand as if they were going to create a new coin themselves, but I might be wrong.

I think the company wants to create or launch their own Digital Coin which could be a stable coin in my opinion though the CEO or the company could still Invest in Crypto currencies

I think that a stable coin would be the best in this case. This would help combat the issue of volatility which may not be too cool for that line of business.

Volatility may discourage people that don't believe in Crypto currencies not to use it but been a stable coin they will be very ok with it.

Amazon is already a big company with many customers and followers around the world. Lunching there own online digital currency will go a long way to increase there sales.

Yeah i think its a good move and i hope its been done in other countries ,and i guess the old payment options like PayPal and visa are beginning to fade as crypto is on the move

Testing out this project in Mexico might have some serious reasoning behind it and I can't help but wonder what it is. I guess Mexicans are probably good online shoppers.
I am almost certain that there would be some conditions put into consideration before picking mexico. It is also possible that there is a higher demand for such there.

Yeah this is true tho but i think the main one should be government policies for them, because there is high demands also in other parts of the countrt

I also got something like them trying to create their own coin from the official news l read sometime ago and that seems to be the reason they don't want to invest in any other crypto right now.

It will indeed be a good move from Amazon , however they need to work towards either building a good stable coin or forming partnership with a cryptocurrency firm

Maybe they will consider building their own their own coin like you said because I don't think they will be trying to form any partnership with any crypto blockchain for now.

I think the studies on the planned initiative are continuing. I have not seen any new explanation other than this statement made so far.

Amazon has also been adapting Ethereum for its blockchain service. In general it seems that the company has a significant interest in cryptos, including cryptos beyond Bitcoin. I think this is pretty good news for the whole industry.
If Amazon is actually looking for ways to enter into crypto l also think it will be a good development. And maybe I guess they might be exploring the etherum blockchain to build their coin.
