As reported by CNBC, Amazon, the giant online retail company has acquired A company that specialize in building an online store for small business called Selz. Amazon initially didn't publicly announce the acquisition as they bought them in early January, but then the company itself later announce the buyout in their official blogpost. And while a representative from Amazon did confirm the buyout they don't respond when asked about the terms of the buyout.

Amazon is a giant conglomerate as such they buy up companies that they feel like might be a competition or help move their business forward, Amazon has purchased several companies over the years.

This is another addition to Amazon, and a sign that they are extending their services to more companies. However I wonder why the company will sell their profitable business

It is good for Amazon, try to acquire selz for a particular purpose that is not disclosed. Whatever the purpose is will get to know in a few months time.

That is great for Amazon. This indicates that they are expanding their business and that will be more profitable for them. The Selz owner must have been paid a good amount for the company given the wealth that Amazon holds.

It is very amazing to see that Amazon is fully trying to monopolize the e-commerce industry and I love it. The company has been talking about plans to launch its own shipping and delivery network which means it is no longer going to partner with third-party companies in order to do so.

I think that in a way it shows that these companies do have a lot of funds and power and they are likely looking to expand as well and that is why they are buying out these companies in order to have these sort of services in house at their convenience. That is good.
