There are many countries that are still against cryptocurrency and the one that comes to mind when we talk about cryptocurrency bans is the recent one that was placed by China, in order to try and promote the digital yuan. However it seems that all activity related to crypto is being firmly removed from the country, including their e-commerce sites as well. In a recent news article it seems that the Alibaba store is going to stop the sale of cryptocurrency mining equipment on their platform as of this month. What are your thoughts on this?

There is nothing wrong in taking a decision, the only problem is reversing that decision after encountering hiccups, Alibaba should thread with caution because not won't stop people from sourcing alternative.

Wow, they are really serious on their stance then alibaba should be boycotted by buyers and get whatever equipment from other stores. It's as simple as this and nothing else

Yeah the regulation says nothing that has to do with crypto currency is allowed in the country so I think every company must adhere strictly to it or else face the sanctions which I believe there are in place

I don't know why most people do not see the good site of cryptocurrency, even if they are banning cryptocurrency and it's equipment that will not stop other countries from mining cryptocurrency, this may not even be a big deal since there are a lot of places those equipment can be bought.

It's a given. I mean they are a Chinese company so ofcourse they will abide by the government rules.. showing any support will only bring them trouble so it's natural they will get rid of it

This is actually an expected decision from alibaba. They will have to follow the rules of China in order to remain relevant in the country. I am not surprised with his decision.

I really don't why they are taking stance against crypto currency,I think it's probably because of the China ban on cryptocurrency that have caused them to take such action

It's necessary because alibaba is based on China and it cannot go against the policy of the Chinese government. Alibaba could still accept cryptocurrency services outside the shores of China.

Yeah Alibaba is based in China ,so they truly have to heed to their policy so they won't face legal sanction and others from the government

Logically, this is expected of Alibaba and it's not a surprise atall. For the sake of reputation ,it would not go against the government policy's on cryptocurrency.

Am sure the Chinese government won't allow such ,even if they go against the government policy ,the ban on cryptocurrency was really taken serious by China

It is so sad that China had to be against cryptocurrencies this much. Now such big companies like Alibaba have to remove them from its transaction options. It would have been so beneficial to them.

Am sure that the before the ban they would be making lot of gains from the sale of mining rig , because then China was the major center hub for mining ,a lot of people would lose their job to this change

Just move on people. China along with Chinese corporations banning crypto are not a bad thing. No one would want the decentralized crypto to become centralized in a totalitarian country like China.
