Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding is opening a non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace with the approval of the Sichuan provincial government.
The company has sold 8,000 limited-edition NFTs based on two pieces of artwork commemorating ancient art from the Dunhuang Caves.

The Chinese government is however encouraged with the application of the blockchain technology on this project despite it crackdown on cryptocurrencies.

Plus usually people who buys NFT's are rich since they're quite expensive also they can easily track who buys em unlike Cryptocurrency since NFT will be sold by a reputable company

I guess that there will come a time when each and every kind of online market place shall have its own digital marketplace consisting of NFT. The main reason why such kind of digital marketplaces are thriving is due to the fact that such markets are really profitable. However, I am not able to find its online marketplace anywhere.

You are right and as for Alibaba,since they specialize in sales,they identified an nft marketplace as a way of boosting their customers since they know the world is engaging more into crypto.An Nft marketplace can offer Alibaba passive income in form of charges per nft sold,so wouldn't want to miss such a golden opportunity for increasing their company passive income
