I would just like to know, are ad revenue sharing website a good and ideal source of income?
And why is that PayPal has stopped providing processing services for them, for example, sites like My Paying Ads, Triple Thr3at and Traffic Monsoon don't use PayPal as a process method and are one of the most popular and "trusted" ad revenue sharing sites.

Well, there are ad revenue sharing sites that might be worth it. That being said, you would still need to look out for the following criteria so you can know if it's worth it writing for such a site:
  • Always, always try to find out if that site has enough traffic. Don't go for ad revenue sites that pay per click of ads. Go for sites that pay you for the traffic that you get into their site. Next, you'd want to make sure that that site does get enough traffic.
  • Check for reviews and see if they are positive. Chances are, if a site is a scam, there are tons of reviews online that will tell you that.
  • Disclosure of information of just how much you can earn. If a site is vague on how you can earn money from them, then consider that a fair warning and be wary of that site.
A few ad revenue sharing sites I know of are:
  • Associated Content
  • Article Income
  • HubPages
  • Bukisa
  • Ethorities
  • Helium
Good luck!

I have tried Traffic Monsoon. If you do not have referrals or have not bought any ad packs, it is really difficult to earn on Traffic Monsoon. You can earn from My paying ads on by buying ad packs. Both of these PTC have been rejected by paypal. When paypal rejected my paying ads, I lost a big money. There is high risk involved with these PTC.

That is what I avoid - sites the pay but you need to invest. As you had said, you lost big money simply because you had invested. I have joined forums and some sites that share revenue not really for the income but to enhance my writing skills in English. Written communication is a major part of my job in the office and I find it rewarding to be in forums because I get to learn and practice my writing with some earnings to boot.

Ads revenue sharing site are still worth trying because I believe they still pay though earning might be low but if you have passion for what the sites offer, then one can still continue and wait for payout.Hubpages that I just started with pays up 60%,0f their revenue to partners

I tried all of that, But now. My investments on that sites are all gone. :( it's very sad. But I am keep going working online! :)

yes ad-rev share sites are good to make life long income from internet but u only need to view 10 ads only daily and if u want to earn without purchasing share or ad pack then u can earn 1$ easily by clicking cashlinks freely !!.
Currently best social network plus rev share site is "futurenet"
its lart which based on rev share is "futureadpro"its best and all are closed and scam within few months !!,thankx !!...

These sites are blocked by Paypal because Paypal does not like such investment schemes.
They come very close to ponzi schemes (or actually are ponzi schemes!) and the way the money goes is usually unclear. They also have a reputation of not paying members. Trafficmonsoon was a very popular site but turned out to be a scam, and got sued.

As for the question if it is worth it long term, my estimate is no.

There are a few flaws with these kinda sites.

As first problem you always face is that you need referrals. Like a lot of them to make your visit to the site worthwhile.
If you don't have referrals, you are selling all your time for basically nothing.
When you do figure out how to get referrals and have a few hundred of them, you face the next problem.
How to keep them encouraged to keep clicking for less than a penny. You wont, so they will leave the site, and you still earn nothing. Because lets be honest here, clicking for less than a buck a day is very discouraging. Most people will give up in a week. How many times did you give up on sites? Exactly.

Another problem you will face is that if the site chooses to ban your account, you lost your whole income. Since Ad-revenue sites have the tendency to go down under after a while you are basically putting all your eggs in one basket. Site can also shut down, get hijacked, reset and much more. Very fun if you put all your time and effort into it.

As third problem you will face all the scams, fake sites and sites that try to steal your information. There are plenty out there, and a lot of people have a lot of distrust with PTC sites and ad share revenue sites, because they got scammed. It is very hard to find any paying referrals. I know I am not wasting my money on those sites, the traffic is worth nothing.

People often misjudge their ability to earn money online and get stuck in an endless loop of clicking random stuff on sites such as trafficmonsoon for small amounts of pennies, hoping that one day their referrals will take over the work. Unfortunately it does not work like that.

The ad revenue sharing system they use now is a nice spin, but does not change the fact most of them are ponzis, or long term scams.

But, that is just my opinion on these kind of sites.
I personally believe you are better off working hard on a GPT site, or writing good informative posts on the forum or your blog.

Recently I joined a site in my country though it is strictly for Nigerians to extent, you earn for daily log in, commenting on new and sharing sponsored post and I also heard of bitlander.i wish to more opportunities in revenue sharing sites so I can join to work

Honestly now that the monetization through such sites is in trouble. I don't think this type of model are any good. so I'd not say they are good investment to be honest. I'd say they are going to have ups and down in terms of the earning. so not worth it.

most of all these ad revenue sharing sites are genuine. sites like trafficmonsoon, mypayingads etc. i had done them in the past but lost interest after investing in one site i had forgotten its name. i was able to withdraw once and then the site defaulted as a result of the bitcoin price going down.ever since then i have stopped investing in ad revenue shaing sites.

I have worked for many revenue-sharing sites in the past. However, most of them now longer exist. I really do not know whey but many advertisement revenue-sharing sites have a harder time existing for a long time. I think that this is due to the fact that they repeatedly change their policies and even become a scam.

Most of revenue sharing sites are content producing sites but since Google changed their ranking policies, most of them loss their position. Only few sites are still surviving. One of top revenue sharing sites that is still strong is Hubpages. While other revenue sharing sites loss traffic and money, Hubpages continue to grow in strength and quality. Hubpages only accept quality and unique contents.

Since members in here like @btaliat and @Xrin Nightfall are familiar with blogging, I am quite sure that they must be also familiar with the revenue-sharing sites. I have not been able to find many reliable online sites but I guess that medium is a kind of site which is one of the most popular sites in the world and they pay through Stripe.

The ones that I can currently trust is hubpages. Though there are many other several websites that allow blogger to share their ad. But the fact is that not all of them can be trusted especially since Google has changed its policy on ad sharing. You may as well try YouSayToo

I think that Hubpages have been on the internet for a really long time. It is remarkable thing that they have existed for so long. In the past, there was a website known as Squidoo. They used to pay through Paypal only, but they were also quite popular site back then. I do not know why they closed.

Medium is a well-known site to make money from writing.

Evan Williams, once the CEO of Twitter, was responsible for developing and launching the publishing platform known as Medium in 2012. The platform enables authors and writers to share existing works or produce new pieces.

The Medium platform is one of the easiest ways to begin the activity of writing or reading some excellent content.

I have heard of Medium sometimes some years ago and to be frank, all I read about thr website then were all positive then. Though I couldn't work on the website then for some reasons, I don't know whether the platform still enjoy the positive reviews it did enjoy then.

Medium is certain a well-reputed website but the main problem with Medium is that they pay through Stripe only! They do not even use PayPal to pay and this is quite ridiculous. This certainly limits who can earn money on the website, but I think that they should at least start using PayPal.
