As reported by TechCrunch, a coalition of consumer rights groups, privacy-focused groups and more starting to put more pressure on tech companies like Facebook, Google and Twitter to stop with their behavioral tracking model. The Behavioral tracking model is where companies try to learn more about a person from their online activities through tracking and monitoring, and then served ads based on their online activities. This model harms not only the privacy or users but also news media snce the big tech are able to manipulate and dominate the market through this model.
