As reported by Coindesk, a woman from Nevada has been charged with planned murder by the court of justice. Back in 2016, the woman paid 12 BTC (worth about $5,000) to a fake killer on the darknet. But then, after more month of discussion where the fake killer tried to upsell his service with the more expensive methods of killing, he finally left the women in the dark. Later her info, including chat logs and bitcoin addresses were scrapped by an anonymous hacker, who in turn hand it out to the police. That way, the police were able to more easily trace and arrest the woman.
