ESET, a cybersecurity firm has published a security report on a new threat that threatens Latin America's crypto users. A family of banking Trojans called Mekotio are now upgraded to specifically target bitcoin user. The malware will replace bitcoin wallet address a user used with their owns, thus diverting the money to the hackers wallets. The malware mostly target Latin American countries, but also detected in Spain.
 
Since this news have come to the open I hope those targeted will get to read this and work towards being very comcious of their activities. Scammers are on the prowl

It is good that this malware has been discovered and it will go a long way in protecting people against it . Is unfortunate that people are still adamant in spamming
 
This is really bad and new malwares are being sold on the darknet, just hope more people should know about it, because it's obvious more people might get ripped off their hard-earned Bitcoin through this malware and people should start planning ways to store their Bitcoin in an offline wallet

Yeah. The only problem is the high cost of offline wallet. If I may ask , before sending to offline wallet or receiving into offline wallet , won't there be need for internet access

There will be, but you can have a separate online wallet to pass it to your offline wallet because it's obvious that's the safest one you could use
