Frances Haugen, a data scientist employed by Facebook since 2019 has come forward and revealed to the world how one of the biggest social media in the world manage its priorities. In the leak, Frances revealed how Facebook ignored bad contents that can harm children and weaken democracy all over the globe. In the report, she says that bad content also helps Facebook to make money, and if the company take a strict stance about it, then they will also lose revenue. Some examples of bad contents that can be commonly found on the platform including, spam, scam, propaganda, adult content, fake news, and more.

Yes facebook for me is a money earning platform meaning I don't make money from it then I see no point to be there. We can't be discussing personal lifes anymore. But to see where it can help is for growing our business and other areas of capacity building.

That truly happens in Facebook alot. It is the biggest social media platform where lies, fake news and scams can easily be spread. It is sad to see that nothing will be done about it since people are earning from it.

fakebook now wants to rebrand itself with a new name - meta !!!!!!!! its because of all the bad publicity. heres a quote from the article -

"Facebook is the world's social media platform, and they are being accused of creating something that is harmful to people and society," marketing consultant Laura Ries said. "They can't walk away from the social network with a new corporate name and talk of a future metaverse."

get off fakebook, start enjoying life, stop have them tell what is the truth & telling you what you have to read, etc. fakebook is evil.

Either way, better to not waste our time hanging up to Facebook, that doesn't pay a single penny even for quality posts , until we aren't able to find 10 thousand followers (very, very hard goal to be reached) and to open a special account.

Wonder why people here think Facebook is a money earning platform. Yes, people can earn money there, but Facebook is still first and foremost a social media.

on fakebook, you can join market place to sell things. you can make your own groups to promote your affiliate link or products. you dont have to be a professional to make money off fakebook. it does take a lot of time & effort thou. but it is worth it. if you see you are making money by just making groups, with your affiliate links, then you can go professional & pay for marketplace. even thou fakebooks privacy standards stink like rotten fish, they do reach the biggest audience at the moment. i still say that fakebook is the best & most profitable place to work at the moment, unfortunately.

This is just one of the so many negative reviews that people have brought about the Facebook company. I believe that it is high time Facebook review its terms and policy in order to reach a height that is common in the rest of the market.

i think mark shmuckerberg, the so called owner of fakebook, be stripped of all his money, pay fines so he is less than broke & then thrown in a dungeon. then throw the key away, let him rot. he makes money off others people private info, he makes money by promoting crap, etc. fakebook & shmuckerberg are evil.

Personally, I haven't come across most of the things you mentioned on Facebook, but then, it could be because I'm not a chronic user. But trust me, Facebook is trying when it comes to regulations of contents
Yeah I give it to them when it comes to regulations on content but then they can still do better, yeah nothing in this imperfect world can be so perfect but they can do more at least let them keep scam off their space. When once a report of scam is msde such should be wipe out immediately. Let keep Facebook as clean as possible.

fake book will never control or regulate most of their content. the reason is because the people who really run fake book, dont want to. dont think that mark schmuckerberg is the owner of fake book, he is just the front man, the pretty boy face that has to go public when there is a problem or when they get into trouble. he has his bosses telling what or what not to do. it has come out time & time again that fake book does not protect its users. but, the major media companies usually dont report on it, dont show it on the tele or just ignore & squash the story.

This is pretty common these days in the business world, business owners today are simply after what they can earn, most do not care how it would affect the public in anyways. Though one would have imagined a company like Facebook would take these things more seriously since they have alot of influence in the lives of millions of persons. The funny thing about all these is that by the time Facebook starts placing restrictions on certain things, then people start looking for other alternatives, and Facebook starts falling, these persons complaining would be amongst does to leave Facebook for the next latest social media platform

A think that some level depressing reporting this issue is right because at a long run the idea of an application like facebook is the house maximum level of trend news and traffic so it will be a loss to them if they actually care about any of your endeavours and all they want is 4 U2 recurrently bringing traffic to the site even if it is a wrong information or harmful information

heres a quote from an article, from the www.sovereignman.com/ web site. its about what fakebook considers the truth & their fact checkers.

article written by - James Hickman (aka Simon Black).

Quote -

" Facebook Admits Fact Checks are Opinion, Not Truth

Journalist John Stossel posted a video on Facebook which suggested that government mismanagement of forests was a bigger cause of California's wildfires than climate change.

But Facebook's fact checkers labeled the video "misinformation" because they viewed Stossel's report as a denial of climate change.

But Stossel never denied climate change. His entire point was that government mismanagement makes the problem much worse.

After Facebook refused to remove the label, Stossel decided his only recourse was to sue over defamation— after all, the public was being told that he is a journalist who spreads misinformation.

In court documents responding to the suit, Facebook admitted that its fact checks are really just opinion. ( Bold Text Mine ).

"The labels themselves are neither false nor defamatory; to the contrary, they constitute protected opinion."

So fact checks are just the opinions of some random Facebook employees. And that means they have nothing to do with objective truth. "

I think that this is a very bold statement that they are making however I don't think that it is not true because a lot of these companies are actually more focused on the type of profit that you they are making and as a result they are not willing to consider removing items that may affect the business portfolio.

This is actually a very big blow for Facebook as a company and I am waiting to see how they respond to this. This is not the first time because in the past few months so many people have been accusing Facebook of mismanagement of privacy off its users and it is not becoming too much.

This post is a glaring truth and at some point it was hard to control.
I believe Mark as worked on this because there have been slight improvement in information dissemination even to the very minute group.
You said something about doing it for money, I feel that is not true.

this is how they usually manage bad publicity. they will get good old dum dum mark scmuckeberg on the daily news, saying im sorry, over & over again. at all hrs of the day & night. it will be blasted from everywhere that fake book is sorry. did everybody hear, fake book is sorry. over & over the major news, blogs, google, yahoo, etc, will scream again & again that scmuckerburg is sorry. its all just media hype. maybe fake book or mr mark will donate a large amount of money ( tax deductible of course ) to some charity to make himself look even better. of course this will be also heard around the world, telling how great fake book is for donating money to some charity.

none of the above will mean anything. fake book will keep on doing the same. until they are caught again. then the circus will replay again.

To be very honest as a Facebook user I do not like the way in which the company has been managing the privacy of its users. A lot of people are beginning to speak up and I think it is just a matter of time before Facebook do something or they lose their customers to their rivals in numbers.

This is not only about Facebook but so many big companies out there are only interested in how they can get their profits without minding the negative impact of their action on people who are vulnerable, that is why it is very much important for us to make sure that we are only sharing valuable information and not sensitive information about ourselves since they can easily get sold by these tech companies.
