I've joined ar least 30 to 35 "Airdrops" in the last two months and haven't received anything that was promised or advertised.
Very frustrating. I think instant Airdrops would attract more people to a project, but 99% of the time they make you wait months and even then you're not guaranteed that you'll receive the Airdrop. Especially if the coin goes up in price.
They get greedy and sell hundreds or millions of dollars worth of the coin and then just abandon the project. I guess nothing is really stopping scammers from creating coins with their own "DEX" and promoting the hell out of their coin and then selling it to all the people they've strung along for months on Telegram, Twitter and Facebook promising something they're not going to deliver on. The scammers can become instant millionaires if they create a billion coins, put them on their "DEX" they control and price them at a penny a piece.
Most want you to join an Airdrop then they try and get you to buy their coin with Bitcoin and Ethereum in exchange for their worthless coins they are going to pump and dump as soon as the coin hits an exchange.
I've posted a few threads about Airdrops and I apologize to anyone that got cheated out of what the Airdrop was promising.
In the future I will make sure if I post anymore Airdrops I will make sure they are legit first.
The Metahash Airdrop I posted about where you get 1000 Metahash tokens is somewhat legit. You do get the 1000 MHC tokens they promise but they make you wait in line that takes days or weekends to get. What they don't make clear is those 1000 MHC coins are on loan to you so you can't withdraw them. The 1000 MHC is used for "Forging" (like staking) and you don't get 100% of the daily rewards the 1000 MHC coins produce. I'm getting 20% of the daily rewards by joining their Telegram group which is about 8 MHC a day. If you buy 1000 MHC with you own money then you do get 100% of the daily rewards which right now is almost 39 MHC a day with 1000 MHC.
Once you receive the 1000 MHC as long as they say you're Forging for at least four hours a day you will get the daily reward, but you're rewards don't start till like three days after you start Forging. It's really confusing and not very clear so I just leave my Forging on 24/7. From what I've seen is if you use a VPN your IP will be considered public and getting the 1000 MHC is worthless unless you use your real IP address. If you buy your own MHC then it doesn't matter if you use a VPN.
I can't complain too much though. The 1000 MHC were free after all. The creators of MHC did put a lot of time and effort into their project so I guess that is somewhat positive.
