There's many people who want to start a website and for that they firstly need a domain name.

Finding the perfect domain name is obviously everyone's dream because this name is going to represent their company years and years to come.

6 TOP TIPS - Find the Perfect Domain Name
1. domain as short as possible
2. domain easy to spell and remember
3. domain of maximum 2 words or less
4. domain easy brandable
5. domain does not infringe any company

The most important tip, domain must end in .com extension, this is most popular domain names extension.

Do you have other tips? Let's help each other find the best domain name for our upcoming online business.

Thank you for the tips. I would definitely agree with what you have said here. I will consider this when purchasing a domain name, since these are great, useful tips to keep in mind.

Perfect domain name should be easy to type, should be very short, maybe include your location,it should be what can be easily recalled and the extension should be of a top or professional name.

So owning supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.com would not be a good buy?

Seriously, while those are some good tips and very basic, what it really needs to do is match your company or have meaning somehow to what you represent. Perhaps even it's just your name that you have registered which will be your brand that you promote.

Additionally, when it comes to ranking in the search engines, domain name is just a small part of the equation.

Furthermore, following the rules in the first post BeerMoneyForum.com is not a perfect domain as it's not short and is three words. Yet it seems to have been made into a very popular and successful website.

Finding the appropriated domain name was my problem. I had my first domain name in a very long name. It's hard to remember then, of course. I used info extension for it is cheap to buy than com. Anyway thanks for your informative post.

When I picked the domain for our community I literally pushed it to 3 words because there was no better choice, it was one but that domain was premium and cost thousands of dollars. I strongly suggest keeping it maximum 3 words and under 15 letters. Truth is the shorter the better for your SEO and overall business branding.

Have this site only used two words, then it might have come into - "BeerMoney" / "MoneyForum" / "BeerForum" ; by the way I will use one one word or just Acronym of the words, for example BMF.com for Beer Money Forum.

I like site domain name that are shorter and easy to remember. So people starting a site should adhere to this. For me the most important is sticking the name to what the site represent so that even a naive person will look at the name and readily know what the domain name site is all about.
