Even with windows 7 being out of support, a survey showed that 25% of microsoft systems users are still using windows 7 for many reasons.
Back when it got dropped from the support, Microsoft lost 10% from its share from the market, but the system was still in use even now, People decided to keep choosing it over windows 10 for several reasons such as : intensive hardware usage in most of the cases, a lot of internet consuming apps in the background and the complicated usage sometimes.

I still use a combination of XP/Win7 plus Linux. One of the reason is that Windows 10 has many problems, especially regarding it's update feature.

Interested, seeing as XP was earlier touted to be the most used. Guess things change eh? However, considering the stability and ease of use, i would prefer Windows 10.

well, i'm using windows 7 in every PC i have, even in my gaming one, because why not, i'm using malwarebytes and aware of what i'm downloading, so there should be no issue, also there is no important data to care about anyways

i'm afraid that people will be pushed to switch to 10 or 8.1, because they had to do the same with XP since all of the softwares stopped supporting it, especially browsers

Yep, Win7 is still good. I know some gamer friends of mine that not using any antivirus and they're still fine. Internet today is more safer than internet in the past.

Windows 7 was the most successful operating system and also very user friendly and thus people don't prefer to leave it and install higher versions!

I still use windows 7 on my laptop and it has limited the version of softwares I can install as regards to work. I am so used to it that I don't think I am leaving that 25% group anytime soon.
can you name the softwares that stopped supporting windows 7 ? i never faced any of these, except forza horizon 4 that needs windows 10 (it's a game not an app)

I still use Xp/Win7/Linux triple boot lol. Xp for older games and stuff, 7 for workhorse and Linux when I want to keep things private without Google's watchful eyes.

No wonder, Win10 is the most idiotic piece of software made by idiots for another idiots to use it (sorry for being rude). I have to take care of about 30 computers in our small LAN, and guess what? Most time I'm spending solving problems with five Win10 machines, for example how to stop these machines to send files to Micro$oft servers without users consent (it's the default behavior, by the way). Another pain in a*s is their update feature, and so on and on and on...
Win10 is a real heap of sh!t with all that unneeded and annoying load of apps that nobody uses, but they are compromising security and privacy in mostly very unexpected and subversive way. Win10 is one big malware and spyware package backed by cooperation of Micro$oft and NSA, so be careful by using it in security and privacy sensitive sphere.

a lot of annoying and unnecessary things indeed, a lot of complicated processes, and a lot of updates that a user doesn't even pay attention to, not to forget some popular issues that people face and struggle to find a solution for like 100% HDD & CPU usage that push people to either upgrade their BIOS and change their HDD to a SSD or either downgrade

Revit 20 & AutoCAD 20. The installation kept giving an error, and the technician said some pack-thingy was missing in my windows 7 (not sure what it is called). I didn't want an upgrade so stuck with my lower versions.

I agree with you mate on that matter as I have tried Windows 10,but some of it's features are so annoying and time consuming,so I prefer Windows 8 or 7 only!

i still would recommend you to use windows 7 over 8, since they are both are out of support, and windows 8 has a lot of useless stuff such as the metro start button

Yeah,Windows 7 is very easy to use and there no update or software problems with it,I actually find it more user friendly!
Thanks

With the end of support for Windows 7, many people are afraid that their computers and applications will no longer be used. For some reason, they feel reluctant to switch to Windows 10. But actually, the end of Windows 7 support won't have a big impact on your computer.

Reminder that several big submarines owned by UK's navy is still run on Windows Xp. These submarines are not the "small guns" either since they carry ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads.
