According to Blockchain.news, $11m worth of bitcoin was paid by JBS, the largest meat producing company in Brazil to hackers who got into the company systems and planted a ransonware that completely shut down meat processing operations all over the US.
The US Investigation team was unable to detect how the hackers got into the company's system and although they were against paying ransoms, the JBS had to do what they felt was right for their business and customers according to the CEO of the US division of the company.

I think the Us investigation team should all forms of facilities to track the address that recieved the funds so they can easily identify the hackers and bring them to book, JBS can't afford to loose money and customers over hault operation.

I also found it very strange that they couldn't track them to really pinpoint the offenders but the report said they knew which group of hackers made the attack. I think it is a popular group that has been involved in cyber attacks previously.

Then they should swing into action to tale them and prosecute them for others to learn because whether cryptocurrencies or not they will still commit crime.
