exactly, wifi should be actually free in such as situations, people are bored because they are home the whole time and TV shows get lot boring when time passes, so they should get an alternative for that, also students should have it because of online studying

It can go really low, but never free. The internet service provider still needs to charge it's customers to stay in business and provide the service that is needed

that also can be a good solution, atleast you will be paying lower than anything that currently exists, atleast you'll be having internet for extra cheap unlike now when it's not affordable for lot of people

Internet Service Providers are not mainly making their money from Internet as there are other services they are offering such as phone calls and subscriptions, so that might be possible

The free internet is great, for sure. In the grand scheme of things, it's not much but it's certainly a good start. I've actually heard really good feedback from those who've used it that it's very good. I hope to see more of these initiatives coming up.

To my view, internet can never been made free because it is made to be a source of income to others. it will make most people run out of their business if internet is going to be free. this implies that the cost of internet reduce the traffic of the internet.

Absolutely such packages should be available for public and people should get such opportunity on big Events especially on holidays of big occasions.

Lol, I'm agree, there's nothing free in this world, either you paid it without you notice it or you will pay for it in the future.

The internet will never b free.Like power,water,sewage,garbage and gas.Internet is a utility to build and operate.costs include:Specialized hardware to route data packets.

Whenever I come across this topic I kept cracking my brain if this could even be free but honestly I don't think internet can ever be free.

You are absolutely right. Due to the high use of the net, the speed of the net is very low. This shows that one day or another, the world will be net free.Because the net is being used a lot these days.

what do you mean by that?The internet services is not and can never be the same in all country and region so the speed of internet in the USA can never be the same in another country so dont expect that to be the same,but someday we might enjoy the speed of internet more than what we had now but never expect it to be free.

I don't think so, it can be cheaper in packages but i can't be fully free. In some countries it is delivered by companies or Sims like in Pakistan too. If it would deliver by government then it may free of cost.

The Internet is free in a lot places, mostly public spaces such as bus stops, airports, metro stations etc, but upto a limit. But even for these, we indirectly pay taxes.
The internet is a kind of service that needs huge infrastructures and maintenance. Thus, for personal use, you have to pay for the internet services that you use.

Never. Free internet would be goverment spy tool.

that's what i'm exactly talking about, there must come a time where it will be free, because there will be a lot of alternatives, lot of faster packages for extremely cheap (atleast)

You are just suggesting that nobody know if that will happend or not,but I guess that someday we will be able to brows the internet at less cost but I dont and never think that will be free,do you know they uses money to run that maintenance where on earth do you think the money will come from except the goverment just chose to facilitiate the program

The amount of subscription can only be subsidized but internet been free is not what I see coming anytime soon because what will the companies use to maintain the gadgets for providing the internet services

That is what I think as well its not going to be possible that someday the internet will be free,I read a jornal on this someday ago its was talking about internet and new age,so the writer was talking about how to improve the quality of internet service and how to make it work on less cost,but majority of those that review the jornal concluded that rather its going to cost more than what its cost now mostly for undevelop country,so I dont think its going to be free rather the usage cost may be reduce.
