MyLot is a weblog site that allows anyone worldwide to join this site. Here you have an account that you can write up different posts that are displayed on the site. The site allows you to write up a variety of different topics, but it does have a few restrictions on what you write about. Like all types of writing sites like this, you can't attack another person, harass anyone, or do any type of trolling on the site. The site also forbids any type of racist comments, posting any type of adult content, you can only write your content in English, they do ask you to make sure you spell all the words correctly in your content, and there is no posting any type of mild stones such as birthdays or even anniversaries.

How Does It Work?
  • You need to be at least 13 years of age or older to join this site.
  • The site accepts members worldwide and the only restriction is that you are able to write in English and post content on the site that doesn't contain any misspelled words. So you will need to use some sort of spell checker to make sure you've spelled the words correctly before they are posted on the site.
  • You can't have more than one account on the site.
  • You'll need to have a PayPal account in order to be paid from the site. You'll need to enter this in your profile so the site can send you your payments.
  • When you write up a new post for your account, they don't have a word count for you to follow. However, they do have certain rules you must follow when you write up your content.
  • You'll be answering the other posts on the site and leaving your comments. When you leave a comment, they don't allow comments that have little to no value at all. You must leave a comment that goes with the discussion and adds value to this discussion.
How do You Earn Money?

This one is a bit complicated and a lot of people have a hard time following this and don't seem to understand it at all. You are not earning from what you do on the site. If you write up a new post on the site, you won't earn from this post. If you make a comment on the site, you won't earn from the comment you make. If you like a comment or even like a post, you won't earn from this.

However, you will earn from:
  • A person leaving a comment on your post.
  • A person liking your post.
  • Anytime a person interacts with you, you'll earn money from the site.
  • If you leave a comment on another topic, the person likes your comment or answers you back, you'll earn money from the interaction the person made.
  • The money you earn from the site is calculated by an algorithm and it is hard to determine how much you are really earning from this site.
  • The site only pays you when a person responds, likes, or interacts with something you've done on the site. You are not earning from posting any content on the site.
  • This is a site that was designed for interaction and the better your content, the more people who read this, respond to it or even like it, the more you can earn from the site.
  • Even if you don't work on the site or visit the site for several months, the content you've posted on the site can still earn you an income. If you have posted a great discussion and people still visit this discussion and comment on the discussion, you are still earning from this discussion.
How Are You Paid?

You must have at least $5 in your account by the close of the last day of the month. The closing time is determined by the site's location and not your location.

On or around the 15th of the following month, the site has a payday where they send out the earning to each person on the site as long as you have the minimum balance in your account.

You must have a PayPal account ID on your profile in order to be paid by the site. There are people who don't add their PayPal ID and just let the funds in their account grow. When they are ready to be paid, they will go to their profile and add their PayPal ID.

I worked on this site for several months. It does take a lot of work and you need to be very active on this site if you want to earn money there. I was paid more than once from the site. I did find out if you are very active, have a lot of followers, receive a lot of comments, you can earn around $20 to $30 a month. However, you'll be spending around 8 hours a day on this site in order to earn that kind of money. Most people earn around $3.50 to $7 a month working on this site.

Has anyone ever joined this site and do you find it easy to earn from?

@overcast What you can do is just go the recent activity tab and keep commenting. After some time you will see them coming to your discussions. I have always earned upwards of 10 there but this time being busy elsewhere I have not devoted much time and yet I am already 6 plus there. Good luck with your effort.

I don't find it easy to be honest. TFW and PL can be easy to complete with 5$ a month. But not with Mylot. I can make 15$ a month on FC. But the mylot is extremely hard. Nobody comments on my thread one out of 5 threads. And so mylot is lot harder.

@overcast I understand. To each their own as they say. I am ok there but compared to others i am far behind. I have just registered with FW and awaiting their approval. Wonder why they are taking so long.

I have received payment from mylot and I also know a lot of people have also received payment and are continuing to receive payments. This brings to the conclusion that mylot is a paying site. However, after receiving my first payment which was $10, I stopped visiting the site. You need to be very active to earn on mylot which was simply not possible for me.

Yes these days many people are also just posting the content and running away. Which makes it really hard to make money. So I don't really take that for granted. I am sure that there are people who do post there on every single hour. But if we compare it with PL and TFW then you cna see that it is not a big earner. And you spending more time just goes wasted if you don't reach the payout. So I am just pausing for few days.

Things are changing a bit there these days specially because there are so many attractive paying sites compared to myLot. We see less users participating. I normally earn more than 15 in a month but it was not so this time. I earned only seven plus.

Yes, Mylot is not attractive enough in term of pay rate. It will take hours per day for getting more than USD10 in a month time, I believe.
But, it is a good interactive place, indeed!

I notice there are preconceived thoughts while responding to users there. They have opinions and based on that they either ignore or pay more attention.

Yes, not all the users have enough time to do some researches before responds to others. Some of the users just pay attention on how to earn more and fast.
But, I feel happy that have came across some friends there that are really willing to share their thoughts of life instead of just making money online.

Not as much active this month than most of the months last year. I have found other places to post. And earning is rather quicker in them. Even BMF > Mylot on that. So I am going to post here more often instead of mylot. I may visit and add few comments. But for now. I have lot on my plate.

I get a email about this site. I checked this site. Research on Google about this site. It's pretty good. You can try it. I joined this site 5 days ago. I'm still now working.

Is this you? Who think your Mylot earning is slow? :)
I am have the same feeling,thus I don't like to go there, but have some sincere friends there whom willing to share their life experiecen and knowledge. This made me feel warm there other than those penny earning.

Haha it is me. I guess we just have to go there for the people. And that way none of us would be looking too much into money.. When I have too much work I feel exhausted there. And when I have no work then it can be worth visiting for sure.

Yes, you are right! We will feel exhausted if chase for money for too hard. It will come and add up and accumulate when we interact there.
There is saying among my friends, in my language, paper money has 4 legs(in my language) while we only have 2 legs, so better to chase after money as it can run faster than us, let it come and chase us for instead. :);)

Haha. True sometimes we have to chase money and sometimes we have to let it chase us. So the thing with the mylot is that we have to chase it all over. And for this reason I am guessing it's better sometimes to we just be natural and post. In some cases that works out just fine. I have tried many other ways though but tricks don't work on mylot. It's not the right game over there.

Based on my observation, their rate can also be based by territory. You can track it through your activities. There are numbers beside your username, then check your earnings. Look at other members' post regarding how much they earned and their activities. It might not be easy to track down but you can. So if you don't live in the US or other first world countries, don't expect you will earn the same from them. It is understandable because advertising rates varies.

That is something I have not yet tried. So I can't really comment on that. I can tell you for sure that rate does appear low and high based on the US based timezone. You can earn more in US based time zone than in other asian one. So it could be that factor out there.

If you try to check the earnings from Asians and countries from either Europe or America, they varies. Perhaps Americans can earn more. I gave up on that site as it is tedious to earn money from there. But I admit, it is a great place to socialize. My account was deleted after carelessly used my own dialect in a comment, which I admit as a mistake of me. But I have a new account which was allowed.

For me, mylot is such a great site. Even if the earnings there is so slow, still I'm happy for it. I joined there not just to make some money but also to make some good friends, learn and have fun as well. :Happy:
