Assuming you know what are the Faucets and you already know what is a PTC , i will try to explain here which micro earning website is better than the other and why.
Both, faucets and PTCs are considered micro earning websites because the earnings are not very high. The difference between each other is not on payments (bitcoin or dollars) but in the amount you can earn from each type of website daily or in a month.

Faucets
Claiming on a faucet is better than PTC because the daily earnings are not limited . The more you stay online the more your earnings are. There are many types of faucets and each type can have different timers and rewards so it is almost impossible to say how much someone can earn from a faucet in a day because it depends on:
-time you can spend online
-reward given on every claim (this also depends on the price of bitcoin and increasing TX fees to send the withdrawals)
Many faucets has a minimum withdraw set to 10000 satoshi or 15000 or even 50000 because of the price now ($2700) of the bitcoin. Faucets with minimum 100,000 satoshi (100k satoshi) and higher are susceptible for scamming ,so do your research on internet before start to to claim on such faucets with 100k satoshi as minimum withdraw. You will need to look for recently payment proofs.
Right now 10000 satoshi is worth $0.26 and withdrawing low amounts is way better than waiting on a PTC to make the minimum allowed to withdraw.
So from time to time you can withdraw your work on faucets. Better withdraw more often small amounts from a faucet than waiting for the bigger amount on a PTC.
Faucet admins are paid for the displayed banners by the ad networks and only getting paid in bitcoin will make a faucet to survive the higher prices of the bitcoin. If a faucet admin chooses an ad network which pays in dollars then the faucet is doomed to bankruptcy if pays in bitcoin due to conversion rate.
Faucet websites depends on the ad networks and visitors/claimers on the website.
The earnings may be variable, depends on bitcoin price as well but higher than PTCs for sure.
Probability of a faucet to be scam is way lower than a ptc.

PTCs
Paid-to-Click websites depends only, or 95% on the advertisers purchased campaigns . The 5% of an extra income can be from displaying banners from ad networks.
About 98% of the PTCs on internet are paying in dollars (USD) and only 2% of the PTCs are paying in cryptocurrency (bitcoin ).
The daily earnings on a ptc are limited because a ptc has usually around 20 ads to view. Maybe 2 or 3 more new ads are randomly displayed if someone is buying a new campaign. A stable ptc daily earning' is around $0.02-0.04 (as total from all the ads viewed) but with a faucet you can earn more. If a PTC is new and is offering even $0.1 or more per ad then definitely will scam people.
The regular minimum withdraw on a ptc is $2 but most of the ptcs increases this amount in steps by $2 so by the time you spent (almost 1 year) to gather the $10 minimum allowed ,the ptc is very likely to shut down/dissapear . Not to mention about the upgrade plans on PTCs which are very tempting for their admins .
Probability of a PTC to turn into a scam is very high unless that PTC is a bitcoin based ptc.
The PTCs which are working only with bitcoin can also become a scam or go bankrupt because depends mainly on campaigns purchased by people.

So, in given time, let's say 6 months , in this period you will have more satoshis (valued as dollars) in your online wallet from faucets ,then money saved from a PTC earned for free.
Faucets can have unlimited earnings per day but the ptcs don't.
Being paid in bitcoin is much better (even if you earn daily the same amount in $ from a ptc too) because if you have saved 2$ in bitcoin in your wallet, after 2 months those $2 can turn into $5, which is great for you.
Bitcoin grows so fast, faster then any bank's interest.
By the time you have saved minimum withdraw on a ptc ready for a pending, that PTC can turn into a scam or ban you without a reason. There are many complaints on internet from people getting banned from a PTC without a solid reason.
All in all, if you want to earn money online and you need to choose between a dollar-paying-ptc and a faucet ,i'd suggest you to choose the faucet .
If you need to choose between a dollar-paying-ptc and a bitcoin-paying-ptc then i suggest to choose the last one ,the bitcoin-paying-ptc.

Feel free to discuss which one you think is better or worse than the other, a faucet or a ptc and why .
Thank you

Well done @******* I believe PTC industry will die in few years and faucet claiming sites will rise as BITCOIN value does.

I join both PTC and faucet site. The latest I can earn via PTC is $0.001 per click while the faucet only give $0.0025 even $0.0008 per click. And, although there is no limit on number of click per day, but there is a time gap which made me feel disturb my job.
Thus, I quit my faucet earning task after a while. But, still continue the PTC activities when I am free.

Mr. B's gif :Laugh:still gat me!
Anyway, truth be told, if PTC sites took at most 3 seconds to earn from the clicked ad -it would be the most interesting fast way of earning.. It's just that I couldn't bare an ad load more than five seconds, then I had to choose from the options ''which is the odd-one out, of the given pictures'' haha which happened to be a cat in a list of dogs.. These were years ago, but I still know, PTC has never been my thing unless something relevant happens to PTC schemes which would be 0.02$/C or above otherwise it can't compensate your energy and bills you have to face end-months:Unsure:

I joined both PTC site and Faucet as well before. I stopped using faucet, for I have no enough time for that but I still use PTCs till now just to have an extra earning.

Well for me, both of them are enough to suck my spirit and patient out so I often give up after clicking 10 of ads or faucet. Both of them are such a tiring job to do.

Same for me as well lady. I tried on many of those websites but after some days my patience took the better of me and i start searching more of writing websites.

Correct. This site just ain't for us. We better off for another site than this. It's just not worth it unless you do some survey in those PTC site but that depends on the country you live in and usually, the English speaking country takes the cake.

yeah Non USA members always end up on the wrong side and never qualify for much of surveys and even Swag Bucks and Mint wine which pays well is no longer beneficial for us and Mint wine is not available for us Indian users.

Which is why lots of people has tried to cheat on it by using VPN. I just feels it to be an unfair treatment though but every advertiser has their reason.

yeah you are right buddy. But do tell me, if we try VPN on Mint vine or swag bucks can we do well. I think one should take risk and let all of us know about it.

I've tried both faucets and PTC's and it's not working for me. Most faucets give so little and you have to come back often to claim those little rewards. The same thing with PTC's little pay for clicking on a few ads.

Yeah same goes for me. I haven't been on any PTC from so long and actually never earned anything from the PTC's and those Faucets are still very new for me and i am still on my way to learn more about them.

It depends. There are many persons, who like to work on Ptc sites and who like only with faucets. And are people who like to use ptc and faucets too...

Many of my friends get success with faucet so I would like to go with faucet though I don't have personal experience of earning bitcoin. thanks for making this thread.

I've been doing PTC sites (on and off for a few months) and recently I joined a faucet site. I noticed that it's easier to earn a bit more in the faucet site since the ads are quite limited for PTC sites.

This is great. In PTC, a great way to make earnings is not on clicks but on the number of active referrals you can bring in. This will in turn provide passive income unless the site dies..

Finally, the mystery is debunked! :D

PTC sinking due to the rise of FAUCET might lead to a new level and form of online earning site. This is exciting!
