While browsing around this forum and others I've seen plenty of threads regarding which survey sites are the best. I see lots of users poo-pooing surveys in general, though, and it has me wondering whether surveys on the whole are worth the bother. I know I don't use them - they're slow, sometimes unreliable, and give away more personal information than I care to share.

Still, I assume people wouldn't recommend survey sites if they weren't making money. Is anyone on YpayZ actually making any decent money through surveys? What are your strategies?

I've made £70 with prolific in a month but I've had nothing at all in the past week. I assume because school is out.

I've also just cashed out £50 with populus live but that's a slog and has taken an age.

Interesting! Does "prolific" accept international users? Also, what is their mode of payment?

Thanks

I made $210 from Dec 2015-Feb 2016. It's not a huge amount, but I specifically set aside my survey money to buy home décor for my house. It has allowed me to completely makeover my spare bedroom. I wouldn't have had the funds to do this otherwise. To me it is worthwhile, but I understand why it wouldn't be to others.
That is a great amount in that amount of time.I have been saving my money from sites I do right now to get my laptop fixed

I've no idea to be honest, I assume so because they have studies from all over the world.

They pay by paypal or circle, minimum withdrawal is £5. Paypal charge fees to withdraw, circle don't if you're withdrawing £20 +

The fee is somewhat very small. I've never really understood what the problem is with paying fees that people retain from withdrawing sometimes for months just to save the few percents (not specific to Prolific.ac alone).

Mind me asking what sites you used?

No I have no problem with fees either. But I know so do, that's why I mentioned it. I use paypal as that's all set up and I know it will be in my bank within an hour minues a few £ fee.

Actually its a lot tougher to earn a decent enough money from survey websites only. And I have never seen a survey website which pays more money than writing websites or even call reviewing and tagging. I heard a lot about Swag bucks but it's only for US people and even it pays more often than not in Gift cards.

This is absolutely true but writing sites only work for those with some talent. I have absolutely zero talent when it comes to writing so would probably not be able to take advantage of those.

Maybe you could share the writing sites you've has success with so thos with telent can check them out.

What's call reviewing and tagging?

Ok, thanks. You also mentioned the amount you made from December 2015 to February 2016, that is a decent amount for survey sites you know. Maybe you are staying in one of those countries ( US, Canada, UK and Australia etc) that benefit a lot from survey sites. Yes/No?

Sorry, it wasnt me who mentioned the amount I'd made from december to feb. I mentioned how much I'd made from prolific etc.

I'm in the UK yes.

Some people are thinking you are going to make a lot of money on survey sites and get rich from it will not happen. There are not many sites out there I know of that pay pay pal or cash. Swagbucks is one of them but like you said swagbucks is only for us people.

I agree with you. The thing is, a lot of people think online jobs are simple and so, one can easily make some quick cash in a short time but it is not so. Most online jobs like these survey sites are kind of low when it comes to earnings. One really has to be patient and dedicated in other to make a reasonable stream of income from these sites.

It is also good not to depend on just a single site, since their earnings are low but when you combine multiple sites, at the end of the day, you would definitely have something in your wallet.

For me it is impossible to earn money from surveys. It is because of my country. I barely get 1$ survey at 3-4 days, sometimes it takes more than a week. So it obviously that I, personality dont earn money from survey even to buy a juice or something.

yeah but i feel if we have even a single legit website which qualifies us for surveys on daily basis, even if the reward is small, still its good to join as it will make us more productive and we can take a break from other online earning websites and In the process earn some money and experience.

Geograpical location does matter in term of qualification of surveys and numbers of surveys can be taken up. I failed to receive any task/survey from Prolific Academy at all maybe I am at Asian country.
Agree with the point, survey sites can make us rich, but earn via multiple sites can add up our earnings from online activities.

No, I mean if i able to get a website like that than i may feel blessed. Actually just today I received payment from Streetbees. It's a legit website and we can earn some money from it. I received 0.80 $ for a very short and easy survey and actually another 0.80 $ pending which they didn't paid me last time but i email them and they apologized and said payment will be released in 3-4 business days. You can try that.

How long are the surveys and do we have to qualify for the surveys .i tried other survey sites but i didnt qualify for most of it.

Yeah this is the problem we all face but actually you still qualify for more surveys than I do. Have you tried Street bees. I guess its ideal for all and provides survey to all countries. The plus with this app is , they provide very easy and simple survey and pay most of the times. I received my first payment from them today.
