At 6 cents per minutes and they're this strict,I even thought the pay was super handsome.I will have to try my luck anyway and see if I can scale through and join the site.It sound an interesting task though.
Yeah test is really tough I just attempted only once .the style guide they provided for transcription is very difficult to understand .have you checked YouTube videos on this site.even though one answer is wrong they give us result failed.there are some answers directly for the exam related to this exam.as they give same questions everytime .you can check on Google.
ok, i will try it on youtube, no i have not tried it ever but i think i will check it now, i badly want to join any good transcription site , need some money.
On sites like this they won't allow the test to be spread all over the net. They are looking for people who can take these test and pass them. They have a certain standard they use and want so this is why the test seem difficult for you to pass. A lot of this is an issue with language and the language barrier that most of you face. Most of these test deal with grammar and being able to write in English correctly. You need to know when to put a period, comma, hyphen and other punctuation that is necessary to make the paper correct and easy to read. That is basically why a lot of people are failing the test.
If you are always that confused about working on sites and how they work it is better if you don't try this one. It is a bit complicated to work on and pass the test. Stick with sites that don't confuse you at all. Many of the sites here seem to be too confusing for you to work on. I think a bit of training and reading are in order to understand fully the work at hand.
I would have to disagree. I have been with TranscribeMe for almost a year now. I was able to pass their test the first time. They offer many incentives and have a huge support group. They even have online holiday parties. You definitely have potential to make some money with this company depending on how much time you're willing to commit.There are people who would tend to apply for how many hours but end up rejected because this site is not really transcriber-friendly
I know a few people who have worked here for almost 2 years now and they are telling me the same thing that you've just said. I know that this is a legitimate company and I believe that people are having a hard time to pass the test because they don't really speak English all the time and Engl8ish is their second language. They might have a few issues with spelling or even grammar and that is why they can't pass this test. Once you get the hang of how the company wants the conversation written the tapes are a bit easier to transcribe and finish. I know in the beginning people had to look again at the format and see how they wanted it written. I think in a week or two that people could get this down and it would actually be a great job to do if they liked this kind of work.
