What does Google penalize your site for, and remove your site in there search engine? What does similar search penalize for too? If someone could post a list, that would be helpful, thank you!

If there was such info compiled together, I'd like to know too. All I've got myself is speculations.

Come to think of it, I think I've not seen any1 exactly write about having gotten penalized yet. It seems to me it's somewhat hard to get penalized actually, unless it was some real spamming spree or something hardcore like that.

I have seen google taking objeciton on many things.

1. Hidden links is banned.
2. Using guest posting too much is also banned.
3. Using the keywords too much is banned.

Lot of small things such as above are banned. There is a big list of no items for the google. and they seem to be pretty strict about it. I wonder how their search engine learns about this and work on it. It would not be easier for any to manipulate them either way though.

The first thing that is banned by Google is buying backlinks.
You did this and when they found your rankings will be falling to 20th page. Goodbye, search traffic! :(

3. Using the keywords too much is banned.
This is called over optimization and indeed is prohibited, you can get penalized and excluded from SERPs.

Yes I have seen some of pages with wall of keywords text. and had zero content. I guess those type of the sites and the domain names got manual penalty. because in terms of the look they were good and had some random content. but the way it used to make epople land on the site. they got most of the traffic before penalty. so it seems like there are some of the manual and spam control department at google that does look at the site manually.

I think buying unrelated links will get penalize since without links its hard to rank in Google.
Still a lot of people do and some low SEO companies who build bad links and they get penalize after some time.

Google would penalize websites linking to bad and critical backlinks. So it is very important for webmasters to monitor your backlinks frequently. Make a text file of all bad and critical backlinks and upload for disavowing in Google Webmaster tools. After submitting Google may take 1-3 weeks to waive penalty completely. Apart from bad backlinking you must not indulge in keyword stuffing. Still some websites are practising keyword stuffing for rankings. Google will certainly take action on these greedy websites. So webmasters must concentrate on content first.

This is an informative thread. Google is known to be strict and as a result, it is good to be informed so as to play safe with them before getting banned for one thing or the other.

If your site is associated with spamming, google will also penalize you. I learned about this recently. So it is better to monitor the posts or comments made on your site so as to prevent anyone from spamming.

Yes,you might be right about it.It is important not to allow any spamming on the comments in your site.I didn't know about this thing, though I have seen many spams in other comments on some sites...

Hello im a member of virily and thiers a writer thier that wrote a Bad behavior of google and the 3 you mention above is Exactly the same what he wrote in hes article , google is a corrupt company according to him! hope i can find again that article and il post the link about it!

Google can banned a site with low quality content, a site that is mostly designed for search engine and not for users like black hat SEO,a spamming site will definitely be banning and cloning sites,To be on the safe side it good to abide by their terms and conditions.

Google is a strict moderator. It doesn't like people snooping around just to come on top of SERPs. So, Google has a strict policy about a lot of things. Always think of it as walking on a thin ice. You do less SEO? You won't appear anywhere. You overdo it? You'll get penalized. That's Google!

It can also penalize you if:

- You post spam content.
- Your content is plagiarized
- Your backlinks are spammy or corrupt

Recently google is also reducing the website which don't have the contact page. That can be fatal for the growth of the page. And for the site it can be really harder in such case. I think google does not always penalize there as well.

Well stated,Google sometimes behave in a weird way and one begins to wonder what they really wants.A friends last holiday had influx of traffic and more clicks on her adsense ads,Google almost ban her account that she has sudden increase of traffic and it was questionable but the thing is that the source of traffic was legal,so why the mail of caution.I think sometimes the ban peoples account for very flimsy reasons.

You can be penalized if you are owner of Private Blog Network or PBN. Google doesn't like much PBN's since it's used as quality backlink.

I think Google also penalized blogs without the disclaimer page and about me page.I think for blogs they will like to see these two pages or such blogs get penalize.

It can completely stop the google search traffic to your website. and that can be real bad. but you can still get traffic from facebook and others. to it's not much of an issue. that's what i have learned so far. penalty is often just google search limited.

Wow that is great to know, I have no idea that certain things like those mentioned above could be a reason for banning a certain individual at google. Thanks for the informative information.
