I was reading an article where it said Iran had set up large mining facilites in the hopes of boosting it's economy one day. If anyone wants to get started with crypto mining, they need an official license from the government. They've already given out around 1000 licenses. It's nice to see Iran taking this initiative..

You are right, mining is very difficult to carry out here because of the erratic light issue we are experiencing. So for mining to happen here effective light must be put in place
True but serious miners can as well look for how to Install solar panel and use it for the mining activity .I believe this will help them to earn without depending on electricity

electricity is actually pretty cheap here compared to other countries i don't think using solar panels is actually gonna benefit them that much

Being cheap is good but consider when they pay only for installing the solar panel and they get to use the free energy provided by the sun to mine .

yeah that's great and all but let me ask you this(while i fully agree with you) imagine you're paying 1$ per watt for epectricity right and a solar pannel is 100$ now imagine if electricity is still 1$ thank god because a solar panel is now 1000$ (the example isn't very accurate but our situation is) but then again it would be a great investment and by sayin 1000$ i don't actually mean in dollars i'm just saying it costs ten times as much in our own currency compared to before

In a country where electricity is cheaper solar panels or source of energy can't be economical compared to the hydro generated electricity and this is a plus to iranian government.

The truth is that for most households the cost of the solar panel is quite high and will take years and years to be able to pay it off, despite the energy savings. That is why many choose not to do so, because most people will not see the payoff in their lifetime.

I don't think solar panel is even economical for mining since enough energy is required for mining, the best is to have source of electricity from power station. Most people uses solar panels or inverters for domestic consumption.

Solar panel is structured in such a way that you pay in installment and the installment is not high as compared to what you will pay within the same period in electricity

Really? I was not aware of that. Thank you for clearing that up. I had always believed that it was a once off payment which most would not be able to afford on a straight up rate, and if they had to finance it the interest would be exorbitant.

again looking at how much solar panels would cost to buy and maintain it would take quite a long time to actually make back the money initially invested compared to paying for normal electricity so i still think it wouldn't be worth it here with emphasis on the word here

Well it is a matter of choice , one can compare the two and see the one that will favour him better than the other and be able to use it to maximize his earning

Something i have noticed recently is that most of the houses that are being constructed now, even those that are low cost housing do come with solar panels during their building, even if it is just a solar geyser to help with electricity costs.

Yeah. This offers a great advantage especially in areas where electricity is not constant . I do go for solar panel if I build my own house .

The question that i have now though, is how many of these solar panels would you need in order to run a crypto mining rig without having to rely on electricity. I am sure the energy output of solar is much lower so the cost to break even will be higher in that way.

Well I think getting a share of mining and front of costs will really help in this scenario to the government and economy will start growing , good desicion I totally favour this

Iran also can sunk in the Mariana as it is a country it surely invest a lot of money, which can be a great thing according to recent performances of bitcoin but if it goes down grade then they will lose a large amount of money.

you ever hear this quote that when you are in tge peak of miserability you find a way to go out?! Countries set heavy sanctions against iran, and it saw it self exposed to lack of foreien currencies for importing the goods and even ptimary substances and materials beside this the price for a Rial which is foralmally it currency unit decreased by 400%

Mining bitcoin is a good investment decision by iran. I like the fact that they issue licenses, so as to control the level of mining activities
I think that there are many countries that are actually looking to try and control the number of crypto miners that they have in their country and they are doing this through regulations and tax as well.

The issuing of license was much needed ,so they could bring out and know the illegal miners in the country , that are doing their activities and know how to measure their revenue
