I really love reading and I presently have so many old books which I would love to sell and buy new ones from the money that I receive. I am thinking about online selling. My friend suggested a website but however he never sold any books over there. I think he bought a couple of books from there. I have been searching for another website over the last few days but didn't come across one that I can trust. I really want to sell those books and acquire new ones. Have you ever tried to sell any of your books online? Which websites did you use to do so?

Best options would be amazon.com and Instagram. As you want reach more people to sell your product and Amazon gives you that opportunity. Instagram is more of a personal selling space as you can tell your followers and friends about the book there.
Amazon is a good place for that its easy that you can sell your ebook on amazon but you made mention of instagram I have not much knowledge about that plartform but Amazon is the best which I have use before I also suggest doing and submit your ebook to seo for index but you must have a redirecting url

Amazon is pretty much the best option we have to increase the sales but it's takes away a part of your earnings in the form of commission as well. Instagram on the other hand could do it for you without any commission if you have good following and audience over there.

That's the main problem of selling your products via Amazon.com .You need a platform which takes very less part of your earnings and gives you rest.

You can try betterworldbooks or Amazon, i used to buy books at betterworldbooks and it provide brand new and used books too with quite low price i guess. Or you can just open garage sale in your neighborhood. May be some of your neighboor get interested and buy your old books. Just my opinion..

I can suggest you social media platforms. You can do it in facebook if you have a page or groups with active followers;if you don't have then join buy-sell groups or simply make post about selling old books in your profile & try to sell them.Or you can also sell in them in Instagram, it's also easy.
That's one of the easiest and the fastest way to sell your book, as you have reach of millions of people locally and around the world.

Amazon is pretty cool to sell books online and its relatively easy to publish ur books on their sites.but u can still check out other websites like okada bookstores though av not publish books on okada bookstores but u can just try n see things dere for urself

You can simply create amazon seller account and get verified. You will need your debit or credit card and Identity proof to get verified. And then you will ready to sell anything and everything. Even you can sell books or ebooks.

Amazon kindle good reads all of them charge a small margin but kindle is recommended , you can advertise your book via google ads and Facebook ads it really helps once you get first 3 sales , its better from there on always

I think eBay and Amazon might be the best option. You can also try other online stores and choose the one that fits you in case you don't want to use eBay nor Amazon. Or you can try, Lulu. It's quiet good but I don't if you would have a lot audience there.

I think ebay and amazon is the best but note there are some others directory online where you can sell your book just google search and you will see some of the result social media is some of those place where some of those transaction can be carriedout

There are several platforms to sale your books online. Amazon is number one on my list. This is because you don't need to bother about publishing because they will do that for you.
Another good platform is Gumroad.

I have not any experience of selling old books but I think Olax is also good to sell old things. Once I sold my old fridge at this site. you can also post on FB to sell old books. It may have books lover members

Wow that's a great platform. I have seen a lot of people posting pictures of what they want to sell on Facebook but I don't know how legitimate some of them are. I want to purchase a mobile phone though and I am looking for a fairly used one.

For mobile check Olax. But we careful when buying from this site, Many scammers are active on this site. If you want to sell your books at FB than search groups of peoples are interested in books

Instragram is not a platform for selling, it is (or at least was orginally) a place to share photos, I guess it's expanded now. The point of using a site like instagram is to advertise. If you put a book on Amazon you won't get many, or perhaps even any, sales. Advertise it via Facebook, instagram etc and you have a chance.

Are we talking about physical book or digital book
Then you should go back and read this thread from the beginning I think he was talking about online and not physical book so the best place to do this is udemy and amazon or if your book is interesting you can sell it in your social media account if you have targeted fans

That is right. The thread is targetted at an online book. So Those sites you have mentioned are good for promotion of books for sale. Especially Amazon, most people know it well for buying ebooks.

It is again confusing that books are e-book or hard copy of books. If books are e-books than these can be sell only online. But hard copy can be sell online and offline. Flipkart is also selling book you can also try it. Good luck

the most unique platforms that attract alot of ppl are amazon and fiverr you can use too ebay but i advice you to use amazon never mind if it cut 7 dollars
