Anyone got paid to review music by Slicethepie?
Please share some tips and tricks to earn more with this program if is not a scam.

I was planning on giving it a try a few months ago in my spare time jsust to see what it is like. I have seen a lot of reviews on it out there (I always check out the reviews first to get foreknowledge before signing up for a new site), and from what I have seen there are some people who like it and say it is fast to review music, while others were very put-off by the monotonous and low-quality music they had to review.

Others were irked that the system kept rejecting their reviews for bogus reasons, saying that they did not enter enough information or details about the music video on their reviews. From what I have read, it was not always that way, but recent changes made their site like that. So I'm not sure if it's still worthwhile to do like it was a few years ago, but I have seen payment proofs that are legitimate and they do pay to paypal. So the issue isn't whether they pay (because they do), but whether they accept reviews and are making it worth your while to do them.

I see that this post was also nearly a year old, but it might be something to revisit if people are still interested in SliceThePie and wondering if they pay or not. Any updated reviews would be good to know.

I've used slicethepie in the past and while it is sometimes quite hard to get your review of a song accepted, when you do and you hit the payment threshold then they do.pay.

Is the amount you get worth it for the amount of work you have to do? Probably not but if you like writing and listening to.music it is still a viable option ijnmy opinion.

I am a lover of music. I love listening to classic, pop, and other music for listening pleasure. I think I am at ease if I could write review to music I listen to. And I could avail such opportunity in Slicethepie. Is it reliable? By the way, I am also in the way to find out what the mechanics or procedures in reviewing music.

If it sounds like your kind if thing then it's certainly worth giving a go, but just recently I'm not sure if you have to be a US citizen in order to register.

It used to be international but from what I remember reading I think that might have changedc but it's worth looking into, even though like I said it does require a lot of work for the money you get.

I used to use it but it took way too long to make any sort of money on it. For a less than 5 cents I had to listen to numerous songs and post a good review for each of them. It was just too much of a hassle.

Maybe it has changed since but I'd have to start a new account since I'm 99% sure they deleted my account.

I use to be an active member that earns a lot of money from this site but sadly they made a decision to ban all countries where English is not the first language. i miss working for that site.

I have not dared yet to visit the site. I am in the part of the Asia, to be particular I am in the country Philippines. Is my country covered by this site? If so I give a try, and find it out if it does.

Like I said I think it was global but then went to the US only but it might still be worth having a look and registering anyway.

Even if it is US only, if they get enough requests they might consider changing their minds again?

I don't know if they would, I think the reason they restricted the countries could be due to the ad company they work with. If they can't make money they can't pay you.
Maybe they make more money just restricting it to the US, but you never know they might start using another ad companies and open it up to everyone again.

When I was a member it wasn't the getting songs that was the problem. It was more the very strict rules they had when reviewing the music itself.

If it was just a case of doing a simple review then it would be a great site to work for but they started adding keywords that you had to put in, and your review would be accepted, but then rejected a few hours or days later and it all started getting too much trouble, especially for $10 a week.

They use to accept people globally but now they only accept countries from the Anglosphere. When you say Anglosphere it means countries where the people are usually white and the first language is English.

That is alright. I understand. I just hope that sooner or later, our country like the Philippines would be covered by STP and in that case, I may have the opportunity to listen to music and write a review about it.

It sounds like the alternative site Music Xray might be worth checking out if SliceThePie is becoming more strict and restrictive upon who they allow to participate and do reviews for them. I hadn't heard about Music Xray until today, so thank you Patrick for mentioning that site! I may check that out sometime and wait on SliceThePie to see if there are any updates to it or they decide to be like they were before.

Wow, i just got surprised, I thought that it was a one off deal, but there are more sites like this. How much are you paid per site, are the rates high?

I tried this place out for about a month. Took that long to reach the payment threshold. Wasn't difficult work, but the submission system is really fiddly, and the closer I got to the $10 payout the fewer opportunities there were to review songs, it seemed. Got my money in the end, but it took a really long time, considering I was mainly just experimenting. And then I tried again today and found my reviews were being valued at even less than before, even though I had the same star rating as last week. Legit site, but way too much work to be worth the effort.

I heard about it some time ago and gave it a try. One thing I would say about working on the site is that the work is easy. But it takes too long to reach the $10 payment threshold because the opportunities to review songs are so few.

Recently, I tried to join Slicethepie. However, the site notified me that doing reviews for the users from my region was not available on the site. I had to terminate my account immediately.

I heard from this website a few days ago, some people were saying they pay you around 5 cents of dollar per comment, but the owner of the song that you comment about have to like it. They have a rating system so you have to do a good job. Once they used to pay 0.15 dollars per comment, which is a nice price, but since now they reduce it, I'm not sure it's still worth it.
