1 - Payoneer:
45353

Payoneer an American-based online payment service founded in 2005 in New York City that enables individuals and businesses to send and receive payments globally in the easiest way possible. You can register on the platform for free but you will need to confirm your address by sending proof of residence to the email that they sent you (driver's license, recent bank account statement, national ID...). After passing the verification process, you can see from the settings of your account if you are eligible to get the Payoneer Prepaid Mastercard and then you can proceed to order by following the instructions given to you.

Some statistics:
  • 4M+ customers
  • 1200 employees worldwide
  • 17+ global offices
  • 35+ languages supported
From your Payoneer account, you have the option to add, manage, edit, and delete your bank accounts in case you want to withdraw your funds but first, you need to check if the service is supported for the country that you reside in.
Typically you should receive your funds in 2-5 business days after the confirmation email sent by Payoneer and fees may vary depending on many factors like the type of withdrawal and your bank.

United States of America, United Kingdom, Australia, India, Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Croatia, Mexico, Nigeria, Morocco, Egypt, Russia, Romania, China, Malaysia, Peru, South Korea, Pakistan...

Transferwise is considered one of the quickest ways to transfer money and they also provide a transfer calculator that helps you to see an estimate of how long your transfer will take but this can vary depending on four factors as stated by the website:
  • 1. The countries you're sending from and to
  • 2. How you pay
  • 3. What time you pay
  • 4. Security checks

Try Blackcatcard. It has the same functionality as Revolut. It not possible to use revolut in the country where i live so I had to find other options. Blackcatcard is a really good one. The account is active immediately, the card is delivered in a couple of weeks.

Revolut is not allowed inmy country which i don't understand why. But i use blackcatcard and it has been a success, i enjoy using it and never had any regret

Wow, I'm hearing about so many payment processors I've never heard of before! I only heard about TransferWise last year when a guy I met on Fiverr requested it. @TheAvenger - I was very interested in the BlackCatCard but was disappointed to find the reviews are not very good. But I'm glad to hear it's working for you :)

I'm almost certain I recently read somewhere that Payoneer has folded. Of course, you have to take everything you read with a healthy serving of salt until there's irrefutable evidence to support the claims. I don't use it, so I've not bothered to follow up the claim.

Well, I guess whatever report I saw was wrong! I've never thought to try Payoneer, but I like that fact that you get a Mastercard with it as well, although I understand it's not open to all countries. I've used Paypal for years and hate that their card is limited to very few countries because I'd love one solely for my online earnings. I'll have to look into Payoneer.

There's just one thing I dislike about Payoneer - the fee is flat $5 per transaction. It's great if you handle large transaction in one go, but not that great for transfering small amount of money multiple times. But hey, at least they don't freeze people accounts like Paypal does.

Same here my brother, it is not allowed even in my country so I don't know much about it. I instead use other platforms which gives me good results

Here in Zmbabwe Revolut does not work due to our country not having any local currency but i use Paypal even though i have to deal with their charges

Yay, a fellow southern African? I'm from right around the corner from you, Botswana. Yeah, I've checked it out too and I believe it's not available to any African country - I could be wrong and if I'm wrong I stand corrected. Maybe over time, the owners will extend it to the rest of the world?

Of all the alternatives you mentioned, the most preferred for me is coinbase; it is secure and very easy to make deposit and withdrawals from. I was going to use localbitcoins but started getting strange login attempts into my account so I dropped i8t and stuck to just coinbase. I recently just started to use electrum but I have no idea how to sell it. Anyone with an idea on how to sell it?

Payoneer is really being so amazing, I just created an account few days back and it's really been so amazing an experience
I'm actually curious about Payoneer because I just learnt BMF no longer pays via Paypal. I'm not happy to hear Payoneer rates are higher than Paypal's. What is it you like about it? What would you say is amazing about your experience so far? TIA :)

Revolut's top competitors include BrainTree, World Bank Group, Green Dot, Monzo Bank, N26, WorldRemit, TransferWise, WeSwap and Swissquote. Revolut is a fintech company that provides a range of banking services online.

I've never even heard of many of these bar World Bank Group and TransferWise. It's very interesting that many of us know of just a few when in actual fact there is a whole catalogue of them out there!

Would highly recommend TransferWise, their fees are REALLY low, but I can't actually give you anything other than that (Was going to give my friend some GBP from USD, but the exchange rate was wayyy too high.

Thanks for that ? You're not the first person to mention TransferWise. I think it's growing in popularity, especially within the freelance space. My husband and I have used a coder in France and he always insists on using TransferWise. Once we also ordered a very pricey gig on Fiverr but the seller begged us to engage him away from Fiverr so we could use TransferWise to pay him.

Wouldn't recommend it for those purposes though, you need to give the person usually a good amount of banking numbers, which I would highly go against because that sort of information could be used to make purchases on your account without permission, only do this with people you trust.

I had to carry out a google search on revolut because this is the first time I am hearing about such a platform, I have only once traveled out of my beloved country Nigeria back in the year 2010 and it was within the great African continent to Ghana one of the dearest neighbours to Nigeria, so I haven't really ever had the need to send money abroad and whenever I have had to exchange foreign currencies I do it locally at the local bureau de change vendors which is the most popular way to exchange currencies in Nigeria. Although i am curious if the revolut platform can be used in Nigeria as I read some great reviews about it online.
