Most of us like reading. We might have some books that we would not want to read any more in the future and won't like to keep at home due to space.

Other than donating them to the library, we can try to sell all these books online either via Amazon, Facebook group/page for getting some little pocket money.

Having said that, the seller has to consider the shipping charge incurred if the books are shipping oversea, if not the seller might lose money on paying the shipping fee which more than he/she earned from the deal.

Have you tried selling old books online before this? Was it a good or bad experience?

If one can actually access these old books without the pains of been sued for copyright infringement then it will be a lucrative one as many people will love to use this opportunity .

Selling old books online might not be profitable people might not like old books they will like to buy new books because they will think it is not a new version.
You can sell old books to make money in so many content writting website but it is the content that is in it that you are going to sell if you need that service come let me recommend them to you,but money can be made with selling old books.

There are alot of place where that can be done I have seen this in some of those content writing website, they offer the service and pay you real cash for the transaction but the site will access your content before they release a dime to you so you need to wait.

I don't think this can survive anymore even online, unless you have a super old book or first edition that is worth to be placed in the museum. I pass by the flee market and they have all sort of books there, 50 cents each but nobody is buying.

Everything is getting modernized everyday. Technology itself is dynamic and not static. No one will value old books when new ones and new versions are out. Even if it is for academic purpose, many things in them will no longer be valid.

Books remain book am talking about the old books that you are discussing, there are some site where you sell an old books for money they are always ready to purchase the item that is the content ot what you are reading or in that books.

You can sell some books on eBay and social media platforms but you need to consider the cost of transporting such books.
It can be profitable if you have it plenty.

You have a very good point here because a lot of people prefer Reading ebooks than hard copies. If it can be transferred to ebooks then people would buy.

I don't have idea about selling of older ebooks online because I've never heard of it before and I don't know how profitable this will be, the most profitable one I know is about creating and writing your own e book and publishing it in Amazon Kindles.

I have never sold books online but it sounds like a great thing to do. One can surely earn a good amount from this. But they should actually consider adding the shipping charges if there is any.

yes maybe you can use ebay because most of people selling their old things in if you are interising more you can benefit in that marketplace thing in facebook

Facebook is also a great platform to sell old things. If you specialize in selling old books, you can do really well. Especially when you join groups of book lovers and create a page for printing the books.

Personally I have not tried selling old books online before but I do know someone who sells books, it was not easy for him at the beginning, since no one was willing to click his link or even buy but now things are Abit better than when he started.

I learnt from a friend that selling old books or texts can be profitable if you sell at the right place and to the right person. However I noticed that non of the comments is actually specific about the Facebook page they've had success with selling their old used books

I belive it is very good to have good record of what one has done in the past but in the case of the book one can sell if there is market for it .

I was able to sell a few story books and textbooks that I felt I was not going to need again on the Facebook marketplace. It did not take me long to find a buyer who was already staying in my location so we just met in a safe place and then agreed on a particular price. It was a good experience overall.

Well, I actually opt for feasible options in selling my ebooks via Amazon Kindle, Okadabooks, Amazon KDP and even on social media platforms to bloggers. If you're a fictional writer on apps like; Goodnovel, ireader
Lightreader, Novelcat, Phantom or Fictium, then you could sell your books online on the app and get promotions and bonuses as well.
