Marketing is all about tricks and convincing people, but the issue here is that you are never told about the cons of a specified product till you experience that yourself, is Marketing a dirty way to advertise for something ?

We have good marketers that are doing the marketing job decently and there also marketers doing the wrong ways so dirty marketing exist
Yeah dirty marketing do exist same also with good marketing ,thats why I said earlier on that good marketing is done well when you persuade buyers to buy your product with absolute honesty

Marketing means you've to convince people right? If people don't convince, then it will be a dirty things to them. If they convinced then It's okay.
it's not only about convincing, but sometimes you feel like an evil is talking to you in the body of an angel, without even stating the cons of a product

"If you can't make a good product, at least make it looks good" - Bill Gates explains marketing in one sentence. Besides, there's no such thing as perfect product.

Yeap if you choose marketing then you've to follow your own path to convincing people. It's upto you how you can convince or motivated someone to your product or somethin' you work with

Yeah what if the product is bad and people have bad experiences about it , no matter how the person makes it look good it might still not interest some customers

Until you realize that a lot of companies are doing dirty marketing tactics by removing bad reviews, silencing competitors and many other vile stuff.

Yeah you are right most companies do remove bad reviews, but there are some product the person friends and relatives might have use and have bad experience and, when the another person advertise it they pay deaf ear

When you put your self in this role or job, you have to define your border or a frame to set your rules, these rules would help you in any event cause its not about honesty its about ur achievement in longterm, considering this, i dont call it a dirty job i call it a short term success(if works), so lets talk about convincing people, yes u have to believe stuffs/services features in order to promote them, if this not met u are not a successful guy in marketing, thats all

In your bid to convince people to patronize your services, you may get to where you feel it's not worth it. It should not make you think marketing is a dirty thing.
i called it dirty since everyone is rushing on you to get a specific product, here and there, ads everywhere, everything is promoted as a perfect product when in fact it isn't

Marketing is not a dirty thing, I don't think dirty is a good word to be associated with marketing, marketing is all about influence. Marketers do every thing they can to make their target audience come to make a buying decision for their products. Some just use some exaggerated descriptions to play on your emotions but most marketing strategies are noble.

it would be noble if you are being told the truth, not all the products are equal, you don't know a con till someone buys that specific product or experience it yourself

Marketing can be very funny, and that is because the way the practioners behave.Marketing is a good concept to be embraced by every individual and organisation. Its core importance cannot be over emphasize that is why it has been professionalized.Let me make it abundantly clear that marketing ethics which entails telling the truth at all times. If you receive your clients once you lose the opportunity to make more sales but if you give customers' satisfaction, you will get repeated patronage. In summary, let us practice ethical marketing

Ethical marketing is no doubt the best way to practice marketing but remember that as human we are dynamic and have different ways of reasoning , some people careless about continuous patronage they prefer use all tactics legal or illegal to penetrate the market once and that's all.

Well every things have its ups and downs so does marketing. There are people who advertise products as proficiently as possible whereas there are some people lying and tricking people into buying products. I would say its a necessary evil.
yes, you are right, in fact, there are a lot of people that are being honest when it comes to advertising products, and some of them don't even advertise it till it's fully tested

In my years of marketing experience I was told to sell donkeys as horses. In fact, even when the store was empty I was asked to sell something instead of standing still.:p
That was indeed a difficult moment and building process for you , marketers are more like media aids to politicians, no how you must lie as a marketers just make the products are bought .

You're right. Unfortunately, that's the way marketing works... more hype and a fair percentage of lies about how the product is superior than their competitors. Yes, it's a rat race.

well yeah haha it happens, we studied pretty much the same here, the client is always the boss, if he provokes you, you shouldn't get reply as long as you are still able to sell to him
