Microsoft is no doubt a successful business organization in the IT world. This company is set to buy one of the fast growing social media app Tiktok owned by a chinese man called Byte Dance .
Recall President Trump was against the app citing Security breach as a reason. Currently an American base company (Microsoft) wants to buy it.
How does this deal affect either China or US in their trade tension.

the question is, who would buy such an app ? i mean, i still don't know how the developers of it make money from couple of videos of teens dancing on random songs

I think there may be some obstacle that will prevent this deal from happening , considering the fact that Donald Trump is not happy with the app and Microsoft is in US .

Microsoft is far from buying this application. Trump is thinking to ban it in USA too,so probably its popularity will become smaller and in the future this app will die.

I don't think this app will die easily , because many people have been attached to it . they can't stop using the app , unless the security breach has been proven.

You said far from doing this, when full time negotiation is currently on going with the Chinese guy and the Microsoft team, I will update you when. Something good happen.

well as the app itself is already famous and garnered alot of users, they can easily get money if they put advertising in the app , like someone or a company wants to get advertised so they would pushed that video into the top list to get maximum exposure

that would cost them a lot of money, they are still capable of buying it, but the app has a very bad reputation in a wide range of countries, so that's a lot of risk

The acclaimed reputations can be rebuild by Microsoft, people especially those China needed spread rumour about the app to limit the speed of the growth.

May be Microsoft may assured the government of America that they will work on the security breach the app is been accused of, which I also don't trust US not to use the app to spy if eventually bought by Microsoft.

I don't think this will be the case here . if actually they spread the rumour because they don't want Microsoft to make it from the app , then it is reckless , because it can prevent the deal from happening.

If the developer refuse to sell the appto Microsoft at a price then it is possible that the developer see more future in the app than the ban from countries like Indian and US.

I believe he is currently weighing his decision in order not to make a wrong one . If he sells the app to Microsoft , some of the countries may re ban the app , considering the new owner .

i hope microsoft wont lose in this transaction , considering the fact that the app has gotten negative reviews recently . i also think that the owner of the app will not be able to sell the app since the app is doing well .
When they buy the app , I believe that they will make it public , and then assure people that the bug in the app has been removed . people will have co fidence using g the app again .

yeah, although there have been negative reviews, you can't deny the fact that the app is really popular, having a really popular app that is used by many can be easily monetize

Yeah the app is popular and may be a stepping stone for Microsoft , when they eventually buy it . however if US bans it before this deal happens , I think Microsoft will faces challenges by it .

if the US do ban it before it happen it might deter improvement in the Microsoft side , but if it would be banned after the deal happens I think that will be where alot of problems will come from

that's true though but I don't think the owner of the app will easily let go considering that the app is actually doing great and has many users .
If Microsoft should offer him a reasonable amount of money he will be willing to sell it out . I also believe that there may be financial need by the app developer which propelled this potential deal

It's in India already a ban .
Microsoft only interested in the American part of the network .
All the more reason not to use this app !
When other countries ban the application because they think the owners are selling information from their customers to the Chinese government and then they want to sell it to Microsoft, you no longer need evidence of there selling information of there clients to ...... .??
