The US is running out of coins as a result of the coronavirus pandemic as more and more people stop using it. Coins are a viable way of rapid virus transmission from people to people, which leads to more users abandoning them. Some stores are also not accepting cash and casino businesses have slowed down. Therefore now, the chances of a Digital Dollar are very high. What do you think?

I think USA can start using digital dollar since they don't want the virus infection been spread , only that some people doesn't still know about about crypto or digital currency ,well they know how to handle it

it's a bit confusing, maybe buying them now and selling them after the pandemic would be a decent deal, but you can't know if they will come back to it or not, so you might end up with coins on your wallet for no purpose as nobody will use them

I think I agree with you .
No wonder the US government has permitted banks to hold peoples keys .
They may try cryptocurrency first before going to digital currency.

There are some exchange sites to exchange to the type of coin you want and others to your local currency ,so I think after the pandemic there won't be any issue

If by this you are referring to digital dollar currency , then I don't think that after the pandemic that they will stop using it .
They will continue using it as people may prefer it to fiscal currency.

Not true as long as they still following the virus guidelines. Wonder why the government still hasn't ban buying groceries if the vegetable that many people touch also able to transmit the virus?

Hmmm, this will only be possible if they person eats the vegetable without cooking it will kills the virus or when he didnt sanitize his hands . However , government needs to look into it .

While the virus can infect other people by touching the surface of an infected object, the transmission rate is very low. That's why even though many people touch the same door handle, not that many get infected.

When people by goods with cash the buyer might drop the physical cash in a basket or any bowl for the seller,so the virus leaves the surface and the cash is now been used I think thats the method some use

Perhaps that's the method used , but this call for concern over the use of of a digital currency or better still making payments using online bank transfer .

That's a perfect idea with digital dollar but I think cases robbery might be high because people wont keep it in bank again and you don't even need to possess anything again and when you are attacked, theh just ask for your device and ask you to make a transaction, such as bitcoin which cant be traced.
They need to think it thoroughly and hopefully price not to be much
I don't think this digital currency will be like cryptocurrency . The transaction can be traced because it is controlled by the government

Don't let us forget that as the government are thinking of a way to make it secure, fraudster and robbers are also thinking of a way to avoid been traced or caught.
So it depends on how the government make it look.
And there are come account which can be clone.
So many problem that will occur later but its up to the government to taclke it
Ofcourse these issues are bound to happen but the fact still remains that the government will have upper hand in digital version of their fiat currency unlike with cryptocurrency

Yeah I think the government might have made plans already to checkmate issues of been traced and others , because some countries are planing on the use of pentagon to trace crypto fraud

Am thinking of how the government will handle it if it happen internationally like if there's fraud of crypto or digital from one county to another.
Let use the case of China and USA as example.
We know China and USA are not always on a good term and the such happen.
Will the fraudster be taken to USA for judgment or he will be arraign in China.
And what if China didn't do the neccesary and the fraudster was later release?
How will they handle it
It seems that you didn't get the point .
The digital currency to be developed by the country will mainly be used in the country . It is like US having a digital dollar which is basically meant for the citizens of US . It is not like cryptocurrency that will be available to the whole world
