The trend is nowadays people spend on time on facebook, instagram, twitter and other social medias.

Even if I browse websites it is only for news sites.

And then if I need to check out info guidance like how to fix my hanging android phone, then it is more likely that i would go to youtube and watch the step-by-step instructions

And also V-logs are more relevant than reading travel blogs with photos.

What do you guys think?

Where I live, (China), websites have almost been forgotten! People here use, almost exclusively wechat. But, I agree that the question is rather irrelevant, as while websites are forgotten here, the content is the same - it's just moved. In much the same way SMS here has been totally forgotten - but the function has not gone, it's just moved to other platforms.
Well, you are right, maybe the websites owner will be pushed to move to the other platforms in order to stay active, since technology is developing

i don't think so , because while searching for an issue , the first thing that comes to your mind is youtube/google , which means those researches will lead you to the websites which also means they won't die
You are very right about Google leading users first to sites,so blogs and sites are still as relevant as social media platforms now and I wonder if much will change about it even in the future

I don't think so
I mean some people like reading more than watching videos
I'm one of them
so writing will never die and either blogs and websites

But writing may exist on other forms, not only websites. Writing may exist only in apps. There is a clear possibility of websites being completly overtaken by apps and no one using anything else.

That's all correct, but people still need to gather info for everything they do now for example and in future they will also look for all your info like that terms of some products and services absolutely and possibly anyway.

No, I don't think so. Even though social media marketing has been on the boom lately, websites are still the main backbone for most online earner.

As long as blogs and websites are updating there ways and content , and also evolving using latest technologies and methods I believe it will remain relevant.

The problem is that we have given so much power and so much market to the social networks that they are already absorbing everything, the websites can still be saved but the sample is only one button, when you google some data they give you what that you are looking for exactly without even entering the page where they got the information, you read what you want to read and you no longer enter the website, google made you lose 1 visit instead of making you win as it was before, another example is echo For example, publishing a funny image "meme" on a website "x" is not the same and does not give you the same impact as publishing it on Facebook, but if Facebook detects according to its strange way of seeing the things that this meme is "offensive" for someone deletes it, you are subject to whatever they want to do with you and your facebook page, you are not free, and you cannot say "coronavirus" even by mistake because they are already making alarm social, then what the hell? You do not have the freedom to use these social networks and you must use them because if I upload a video on a site made by me no one will see it, then when did we lose our internet? That is what we should think, regards

With the advancement of modern technology, who knows where we will be in the next 10-20 years?! I genuinely don't think blogs and websites will disappear in our lifetime. But if techies came up with a sleeker, more sophisticated alternative, it could very well happen.

If it ever happens, I doubt it will be any time soon. With the pandemic raging, trends are changing and we're seeing more and more people opting for online content. For instance, in my country, I know of at least two newspapers that have stopped all production of hard copy newspapers, moving instead to online platforms.

Websites and blogs can never become irrelevant in the future. Many people have different reasons for using the internet so blogs and websites would surely be needed by many people.

Never say never :)

Just think of the progress and changes that have happened in the last 20 years and then try an imagine the next 20 years.

Traditional TV, SMS and email ~ 3 examples of things becoming less popular day by day. Blogs and websites might easily be replaced by something else later on.

I would say NEVER !!!!! Certain projects and info need to be explained before you sign up with a site. Simply driving traffic or clicking a link will never convince a customer to register or sign up with the site. Unless the visitor has the patience to read the FAQ and other info provided on the website.

For example, on clicking sites like HashingAdSpace, Horizen, Beer Money Forum, etc you actually don't know what the site has to offer you and how you can EARN high income, unless you read the guidelines in detail.

All these websites need further explanation how it works and what these sites have to offer you. Here is where we need to have blogs for further explanation.

Blogs and sites will always be there and with the enhancement in technology it will become more user friendlier and engaging than we see them nowadays

Yeah i thought it my self one as before ....when considering me im not like to surf all website for tutorials i mostly use youtube for any thing which i wanna know...its easy and no want scroll and find ...may be blogs readers will fie soon

I am sure several people if they were asked to foresee technology advancement about 30 years ago, many would have got it wrong. I don't think few years from now we will be where we are now though not sure where will be.

Yes, that is exactly what I think.

A lot of people on this thread seem to disagree, but how on earth can we be sure what will happen in the next few years. The changes that are happening now are incredible, where I live cash has almost totally died out - I wouldn't have expected that even 2 or 3 years ago. Obviously we will always need some way of communicating ideas to each other, but if that will continue to be websites or on some other platform - only time will tell,

Blogs won't continue to be relevant in our existence because things are changing on daily basis, blogs are gradually fading since there more apps where information are easier to source at our fingertips.

I don't think blogs and websites will become irrelevant. People are always looking for something new and different and social media is controlled. What's popular today will be replaced by something else eventually and a new innovative website could come along to take some of the market share. With all the options we have today though a blog or a website isn't enough for most advertising needs.

Can't you see that most sites now have app version , for instance most people don't go to block chain website they just download the blockchain wallet and do everything.
