I see that Ethereum is very popular right now.
Which one better Bitcoin or Ethereum
Please tell me why or why not? Is it like comparing apples to oranges?

Both are good. But if you want to earn i think you should but ethereum becuase it's value is rising mostly and second it is cheap you can get more ethereum than bitcoin imagine if ethereum rise to 1000$ you'll make more profit than btc but nobody is sure which coin will rise and which will fall. It depends on our luck.

The Bitcoin is more valuable than Ethereum.Look at his price and the constant rising of his value during this years.Ethereum is valuable too,but my opinion is ,that comes after Bitcoin.Anyway apples and oranges are both delicious and rich in vitamins fruits.

I can't say it's better than bitcoin. But based on what I have seen the cryptocoins. I think it makes a good replacement. though lot of corporates are using it. i am guessing it is good enough for you to use it. i personally dont see much use of the currency as of yet. but if i get it then good enough to use it. that't the basic use of the coin for me there. not sure how this can be handled though. have to check on that part.

Bitcoin is the emblematic coin, it was created with/for Blockchain concept; with value and very strong application it will be difficult to beat.
By the other hand, Ethereum has shown to be a coin with energy, and its value comes will all those applications you see such as create ICO's, among others; but same as all other coins, his core is Bitcoin.
Doing profit with coins? I like Ehtereum better than bitcoin because if you see history charts, the increase % is larger in ETH than BTC. A large profit will be easy to reach with ETH than BTC. Bitcoin is an elephant, moves strong but slow and alt coins are fast, comes and goes fast, up and down....and you have to be that way if trading alt coins.

Ethereum is perfect for trading cause there are a lot of support and resistance . Bitcoin is also good but not as good as ether (if you are trading )

For me etherium is not good as bitcoin at this moment. In future who knows but in this moment he is light years distance of bitcoin. Now every one who have 2000$ can by rig for mining etherium and its very popular all around the world even in my country where we must give your 6 month average income for one rig. But i must also notice everyone who by rig before july this year is on big loos because if by bitcoin now have double money, and etherium price go down. Also every day is harder to mining and find available pool so i personally stay with bitcoin.

Think of ether and litecoin as backup currency. Never to invest all into the bitcoin. And that's where we have to learn some of the things in due process. I have not much thought about the etherium as of now. Because it seems like lot of less options for holding it. coinbase seems to be one. but not investing into that. and another thing is that ether seems to be a bit more or less backup currency. so have to wait and see how that works out as well.

Both are good coins to trade on but I will vote for bitcoin cos it more valued, it has a very good secure wallet, it has gain much popularity and the value keeps rising on daily, the slight fluctuations makes it stronger.

Totally agree.Though Ethereum is strong enough too.I think it comes after Bitcoin.I am not really into Ethereum,I am more interested in Bitcoin.Maybe in the future,when I will have more time,I will pay more attention to other valuable cryptocurrencies too...

I also read some online literature that says that ethereum uses a better algorithm than bitcoin. I do not know if this information is accurate. For me, the money that makes me rich is the best money! :)

I am not much aware of Ethereum and only learn something about the BITCOINS. I think both are good and we can earn good rewards from it. Still i feel bitcoin is better of the two and more popular as well.

Ethereum is the world's 2nd largest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization. Bitcoin is better than Ethereum in a way that it's accepted in millions of online stores even in dozens of HYIP (High Yield Investment Programs) sites and PTC (Paid To Click) sites that created everyday use it as a primarily form of payment. Bitcoin and Ethereum is not like comparing apples to oranges. Rather, it's like comparing to airplaine vs taxi. Where bitcoin is the airplaine with a market capitalization of more than 100 billion USD while Ethereum is the taxi with only a market capitalization of about 30 billion USD.

I am of the same opinion.I would like to have a bunch of Bitcoins or even Ethereum,if that were possible.I didn't collected till now Ethereum,but if I would gain from somewhere many of them,it would be welcomed.Or any other cryptocurrency,that has some value on the market.

Now I think Ethereum is not a rival of Bitcoin, it is Dash. Ethereum was considered as rival of bitcoin and second to bitcoin, yet it's praice is not that good. Bitcoin praise has again fell down from 10k to 9k's but this is still very much higher. Erethreum is not even second.

Ethereum is more stable compared to Bitcoin. And there are lot of Ethereum based altcoin. Ethereum has more utilities compared to Bitcoin. Bitcoin being the first cryotocurrency is more marketable at the moment.

They are different animals with different purpose. I can tell you that BTC was great before but no longer now. It has become the new business model for whales. The current TX fee will rip off small users.

ETH got a cheaper TX fee which is good but it was not originally designed to function as a cryptocurrency unlike BTC as it is more of a platform for another platform by which they can build upon, particularly DApps and Smart Contract.

Bitcoin is delayed a lot. And ether seems to be doing good. but compared to bitcoin it is also lagging in some ways. and so for that reason people are spending the time trying to find out if the ether is going good enough. so thata being said it'd be reasonable to make use of the bitcoin.
