I have see many sites that request visitors to download Free Ebooks.

They never request your email or any other details but just to download the Ebook.

Does anyone know how do these website owners earn money when visitors download Ebooks?

This is quite informative. It is another opportunity, that needed to be explored. But one needs to make research so that does not have a wasted effort, besides targeted Country should be focused on

I do not have much clue and need to analyze the reason. Yet based on my knowledge, I think the advertisers pay the site owner some percentage based on the number of page impressions and the actual download.
The formula might be depending on the contract negotiation between the advertiser and the site owner.

I think it relies on ads and shortlinks. Because downloading free ebooks tends to have a lot of redirects and Captchas before you download the file.

Such sites usually make money from the downloads themselves. That is, they first upload their book to file hosting services that pay money for downloads, and then post the link received on the file hosting service on their website.

I'm also not completely sure how they get money from people downloading free ebooks. I think of it as some kind of promotion and the sites get money from these ebooks owners for promotion.

Like most people has said. They make money from pay per download, CPC, CPV ads and so on. Some people use paid URL shortener. And some are totally free with no ads. But when you read the e-book, inside it, they will direct you to a premium e-book that you will need to pay.

That can be done via Content lockers. When you lock your downloads with it then when someone tries to download your file, he/she has to complete an offer from the offer wall in order to unlock the file.

How website earn money when them download eBook, is by advertising their link, and also promoted free eBook that people will purchase, this are the way them make money from it.

Well people don't really like giving out their email address any how because of spam most times ,so if they see something like that they will just ignore it
Yet there are sites that do ask for email address else one cannot proceed.

You are right but I think majority of the site are pay per download program where you advertise your ebbok and on pay per download site and when they follow your link to download the ebook you can earn a good commission for it,thou I think that may be the procedure but am not really into it.

I tink to advertise your link on pay per download would really cost a lot , i rather advertise on facebook and other social media than on ppd

This is a good point and is one of the option to earn money with free downloads.

If you want to use pay per download site to run your advertising then you must set a cost for it,or rather you make use of social media which the services is always free, sometime you can try email marketing, but come to think of it how a website make their money from free download that looks as if they have already shorten the ebook links with one of those url shortening site so they make money when someone visit the link,or with paid to download site

I don't think all books on such sites are free, there may books that you need to pay for before they can be downloaded. But if the books downloaded are entirely free then they may be getting their money by ads run on the site or they can be paid by time of download or traffic generated.

It depends because most paid to download sites I have seen are different, and some actually pays for download and others then if you want to advertise , your advert would be placed where users could visit and click the link

Technically a website can not make any money if someone download an e book. You can either collect their email to send promotion later on or you should place pay per view advertisements

The Website Or Platform Usually Makes Usage Of An Ad Network that makes Unwanted Installs In The Device Of a the Visitor , And Then His Device His Affected And You Earn Some Karma From Him ( Good Or Bad ) Along With Some Earning From The Company That YOu Work For As An Affiliate

Pay per download sites mainly are the ones one can use in order for them to get an incentive from such an offer they have put on their website.Put I have never tested one and how the conventions are.
So anybody with more valid and proven answer can share this information.

there are some site that earn through pay per download and note that they are not purchasing the ebook directly from your site ,but through an ads ,some sites uses this opportunity to earn , it's possible for a site to earn from pay per download ,many people earn through that on their blog

Websites that are asking you to download an e-book is not because they want you to help them in monetizing the platform but then they want to be able to collect your email so that you can be able to fix that other forms of marketing. It can also be in a form of a trial so that you can be able to read it and then be convinced about the product or the online course that they are selling.
