What is Cryptojacking.jpg

What
Cryptojacking is the secret use of a computing device to mine the digital cash.

Who
Hackers use malicious softwares that focuses on stealing
cryptocurrency wallets or mining, and Sites use in-browser JavaScript to mine in the background.

How
JavaScript runs on all website, so in-browser mining code start working instantly when their web-page is loaded. Even Hackers have injected the scripts into other websites; some affected sites are CBS Showtime, UFC live-streams and even some official government websites.

Why
Apat from criminals, now due to Adblockers, many legit websites have also started using this way for their revenue.

Protection:-
Block such sites;
Use proper browsers which checks Java Script,
Repeatedly check the running tasks in your device,
Never compromise with your internet-security, there is no fake alert about malicious softwares.

Actually anything inside wallet if it is not safe. There are already reports of missing found, especially in mymonero wallet. All safety are required for the protection of cryptocurrencies.

Yes,I have experienced that thing in one of my favorite movie site.I was suspecting, that the site is doing some mining, but I was surprised, because the movie site worked very fine till now.It is really annoying for sites,to do such things. This way the visitors will quit their sites, because even somebody, who does not know something about mining, realizes, that something is going on on the site, and will quit the site.

You should name the site which was doing this mining, using other's devise for self use by a site is also an attack. Such online attacks are illegal, we must aware others.

I heared about this fromother forum too, it is deu to that botcoin brice increased insane way, we can check browser usage of internet for any milicious ubnormal usage of internet

Yes,it was expected, that because, that the price of the Bitcoin has got so high, that different sites will try to gather more Bitcoins using different methods.I would not imagine that it is possible to use secret mining tools.Good that we know, and can avoid them.

This is scary cos there are some sites that demand our wallet addtress to sign up and start claiming faucet. Hope given out wallet address won't wallets to be hacked?

It is not much about bitcoin, bitcoin cannot be mined in classic computers, if that was possible, then anyone could have been doing this. Such sites target easy cryptocurrency like Monero; but bitcoin is also professed by them for better CPU.

It is natural, that some sites ask for the address, because they have to know that, where to send your earnings.I have seen even in different forums, that people have published their addresses for different purposes. There is nothing unusual in that.

Giving address is not a big deal, this is simple thing because earners have to inform where they have to be paid. Cryptojacking have nothing to do with legit paying, but one have to check all running tasks, and never stop their anti virus and anti malware for any site.

thanks for sharing these wonderful Informative information! but who is behind these?? League of hackers? can you Type Different bitcoin wallet address ? in Different Faucet sites!

@asumi Not only criminal hackers, but even many site owners are behind this; for the first Pirate Bay (torrent) started this in September, but they got support from their viewers - Permission to use CPU mining for Advertisement less Movie; yet later many others got into it who are using without informing visitors.

Yes,it is incredible, but it is true. Some website owners, especially movie streaming site owners use this secret mining tools, without informing their visitors or asking permission to do that.Hope, that not all movie streaming site owners will follow their example.

Security firm Adguard reported that 4 sites Openload, Streamango, Rapidvideo and OnlineVideoConverter were mining "Monero" by loading mining software to 1 billion visitors. It is very bad that these sites use visitors.

I was personally never concerned about such things and didn't even think that someone may mine from my laptop without me knowing it :Ninja: and even if this is unethical on so many levels, I have to admit it is an ingenious plan

Our CPU usage without permission will heat it up, also it will charge extra internet data and electricity; and those lechers will earn from it if we do not take care of our safety.

Some securtiy firms now suggest to disable javascript in your browsers. Or install some special browser just for site who use visitors to mine bitcoins.

hey there those 4 websites that you mention i think you can make money from them too? i see a thread of Openload here ! that you can make money uploading and downloading videos ! anyways im shocked in what you said . and Not only those 4 sites are mining in our gadgets pc/desktop ,laptop thier are Gpt ,ptc sites too Doing that too without the consent of thier members or site visitors! i Get infected too recently by j.s miner coinhive and i research About it, i read that Cyber Criminals are Doing these to gain Profits ! i hope Fbi cybercrime and interpol would get rid of those criminals!

Chrome has developed a special browser which do not allow coinhive, firfox also blocks coinhive; and disabling javascript means the content or the functionality of the website can be limited or unavailable.
