As the new years starts people are looking for answers about how they can make money, where to register their domain name and what website company they should use. This is very important to find the best hosting company to host your new website on. Today, it is challenging to find the best services that you’ll be happy with and that offer you the best prices. Furthermore, there are a lot of domain registrars out there today and it is a tough decision to choose the right one. Two of the top names in the industry today are Namecheap and GoDaddy.

What To Look For:

Before you decide on which hosting service to sign up with, it is necessary to look at a few features and what each service has to offer. You need to understand the package they are offering, what the price you’ll pay, and does the company offer you an easy way to manage your services. Here is a list of items you should compare before selecting your hosting service and domain registrar.

  • Are there any additional or hidden fees when you transfer your domain name to this company?
  • Check out the history and reputation of the company and see how reputable their services are.
  • Do they offer you a reasonably priced service?
  • Are they part of the ICANN
  • Does the company make it easy to transfer your domain name?
  • Does the company offer forwarding services when you transfer your domain name?
  • Do they have 24/7 support if you have any problems?
  • Will they provide you Whois registration services.
  • What type of renewal services do they offer, manual or automatic?

What Does Namecheap Offer?

  • Namecheap is accredited by the ICANN and was founded in 2000.
  • The main business model for Namecheap is their domain registry services. However, they do provide email hosting, web hosting, cloud-based services, and security.
  • The site offers a promotional code for the first year of service.
  • If you want to purchase a .com domain name it will cost you $10.69 for the year and an additional $8.99 + the ICANN fees for a new domain name registration.
  • The site offers security features and is ICANN Accreditation.
  • It is easy to transfer your domain.
  • The site doesn’t use a lot of upselling tactics.

  • This site has been hacked in the past, but they do have a reliable DNS.

Conclusion:

Now that we’ve looked at what the two companies have to offer it isn’t really that hard to decide on which company to go with. I do like Namecheap the best because they are straightforward and they don’t always try to sell you something extra. The company doesn’t have any hidden charges and is upfront and straightforward for what you’ll be paying each year for their services.

Now, on the other hand, GoDaddy is horrible for always promoting new features and trying to get you to pay extra for their services. I don’t like visiting a site that is always trying to sell me something.
