Best Alternatives To Upwork

Posted on

Upwork, yes! It’s my pleasure to write about this one. It is definitely the number one freelancing website in the whole world, at least to me. I love this website. I love the way jobs appear there very frequently and I like the website design a lot.

Upwork is actually a freelancing websites where you can get to see jobs to bid on every few minutes and you can bid on them and get approved. Upwork will let you earn money on any skill that you have.

There is opportunity on any type of skill that you have. You can make use of it and earn a living at upwork. Some freelancers on upwork, earn more than 10k usd a month, just freelancing. It’s all about how you take you work. I personally know exactly what to do to get work on upwork.

Upwork has been around for more than 17 years, and keeps being the best.

But Why Would You Need An Alternative To Upwork?
Yes, upwork is that awesome website that you can go and find many jobs to bid on. It is the best out there, but there are some flaws which I, personally experienced.

The first is, upwork only allows you to have 60 connects. Connects are what you use to bid on jobs. They are like tokens that you use to bid on jobs. Each time you submit a proposal for a job on upwork, you use two connects, and you lose 2 connects.

This means that you can only bid on 30 jobs per month. I don’t really know but I think they mean for you to bid on only 1 job per day. But you are not actually restricted to do that. You can bid on more than 4 jobs or even more per day.

The next thing that I noticed on upwork, is that if you bid on many jobs without getting approved for at least one job, your account gets suspended. I am personally a victim of this.

So this gets to be a big problem when you can no longer apply for jobs because your account has been suspended. Then you have to contact their customer support for it.

Well, in this case, you may like to look for an alternative to upwork while you sort out your problems with them.

Here are some great alternatives to upwork.

PeoplePerHour

PeoplePerHour is a good alternative to upwork, if for some reason you don’t get approved for jobs, you finished your connect, or your account got suspended.

This website has almost more than 700,000 businesses that come there to post jobs looking for freelancers to bid on them. So far, freelancers have earned almost more than 106 million euros on this website. This website is currently more than 11 years, and is more lenient than upwork.

You can have more opportunities to get hired here. If Upwork doesn’t work for you, then you may want to try this one out.

MicroWorkers

I guess sometimes the reason why you don’t get approved for jobs is maybe, because you don’t have much experience, or probably don’t have much skills yet. If you don’t feel very confident yet in applying for jobs on upwork, or on peopleperhour, then this one is for you. I had to include it intentionally here.

This website will pay you to sign up on website, like facebook pages, comment on facebook posts, like YouTube Videos and many other simpler tasks like that. This website is actually suitable for anyone no matter what level your experience is.

You can get started with microworkers and start earning money immediately. They also do have constant jobs all the time as they are already very popular and many clients use them to get traffic to their website.

Microworkers has been around for more than 11 years, and is still up and running today. However, you have to know that you cannot compare your earnings on this website with your earnings on major freelancing websites like uwpork and peopleperhour.

My Suggestion
The reason you may not be getting jobs on upwork, people per hour or any other freelancing website you are using is probably because your profile is not so good, and/or you don’t have enough work experience.

I suggest you chose a particular skill that you want to be the master of, then go to YouTube, and get yourself so many awesome free videos on that, then take just 1 day to master them.

Let’s say you chose logo design. Then I suggest, you chose a particular software to use for your logo design. Now you need to master this software in and out, and I bet you that you can find many great video tutorials on YouTube for that.

Once you master this software, using the videos on youtube, you can do awesome logo designs with it. At worst, this will take you a week, and you can become a professional logo designer, then create lots of logo designs to use as your portfolio on your freelancing profiles.

Meet a new company. You can find one from producthunt. Find the ones whose logo you can improve on, and offer to improve for them for FREE. This will not take you much time. Put this on your freelancer portfolio in you profile after you do it. You can do many more.

Some freelancer websites also offer you some tests, like english test, and other types of test to prove that you can do something. Try to score the best there. When your profile is all great, then you can start applying for jobs. You will get one.
